Yeah, right? I'm not talking about what's just been posted, more like this
I don't mmind the look, but why not go towards something bigger (although in this case it IS a parts bin build) -
-
I noticed that a lot of recent build seem to have both long stems, a fair few spacers, and very long seatposts, and that is on compact and traditional geos. That would be fine on "Parts Bin" bikes, but I feel I see that a lot here.
I'm thinking of building a new comuter to give the GT Force better/lighter components, and I'm toying with the idea of going 52/53 frame instead of a 54/55. As it is, while my 54 GT Force suits me quite well, I only have 15/18cm of the seatpost sticking out and I had to put 250mm worth of spacers for the bike to be comfy...
Is there any reason, other than aesthetics, to go for a smaller frame?
Is it just cognitive bias, and there aren't much of these configs on lufguss? -
I'd recommend the Thule pack'n'pedal commuter series, particularly the larger one. It's quite versatile.
The rack attachment system can be hidden/ which makes it confortable as a messenger bag or backpack: you don't get spiky things stabbing you hips or back. And it has four strap attachments which means it can be configured as a whatever you like.
I had it for 4 years and is still going strong. -
If you want better EQ, give Viper4Android a try, it's a bit fidly to install, but it surpasses any EQ on Android AFAIMC.
I have the ATH-IM70, and they're pretty mch how @TM describes them, fairly flat, desgined as Stage Monitors, and with replaceable cable.
I just got some SONY WH-1000XM2 at a very competitive price, and I wanted to have something that would isolate more than the ATH mentionned above: It's quite impressive.
Maybe not as nice as my Fidelio L2's, but overall, for a digital witchcraft Headphones, they're really quite impressive. I was dubious, but I'm now convinced. Viper4Android does help to get a flatter response too. And everything is so very quiet... -

I found I had more issues at the departure security check than anything. If Ryanair doesn't know you have vape stuff, you'll be ok, and the rules vary depending on the company: some won't allow batteries in hand luggage, some won't allow them in the cargo. It's a bit odd.
As far as security checks are concerned, it really depends on the countries though: in my experience, Germany was the only country enquiring about the actual Mod and its purpose (at the time, it was the massive but awesome Yihi SX350M), but didn't care about the batteries. All other countries I travelled to in EU and US didn't ask a thing as long as my e-Liquid was stored on bottles under 100ml in a plastic bag.
I once had questions asked about my Micro-Coil jig thingy, and the tiny scissors in France, but other than that I never had any issues. -
My two pennies: Get yourself a NAS with some redundancy.
I personally keep only my latest unworked orginals on my HDD, and when I edited all my pics, the originals go on the NAS and the edited pictures in one of my Data Drives in RAW format. I then add all my edited forlder in Lightroom so that if I need to upload to FBook or Flickr or just review them, I can just do it right in Lightroom without having to export locally in JPG.

This is so good.
I need a Steel GT Force in my life so that I can build my AL Force into a proper carbon-clad monster... Then I transfer all the commuter parts on the Steel one and enjoy a smoother ride on Paris' Evil Paved roads.
Lovely build, lovely indeed (i do however frown eversoslightly upon flat bars....) -

If anything, when I said bike bag, it's to makes sure the SNCF dudes don't annoy you, because if they see you just have a tarp wrapped arounf the bike, they'll annoy you, but if you take a big fat ikea bag that closes, i'm sure it'll be alright, as long as it doesn't damage neghbouring luggage. I'think that's why the SNCF are a bit picky if anything.

Hi @speculoos
If you can fit the bike in a travel case (you can find the carry-on luggage max size somewhere on the SNCF site), you should be fine. The luggage compartment are quite big but they tend to be filled so either get there early to have a nice spot or try to find a suitable space between seats: some back-to-back seats have a fair storage space between them, a bike bag might fit.
Not all TGVs allow for bikes I believe. I know Paris-Bordeaux does, but there are only 5-10 bike seats in either ends of a 10-Car train I think. As far as the eurostar is concerned, I did the oppsite travel from London to paris with 2 bikes, so I'd advise you to check the details because I had to bring my bike a day before taking the train and only got it back a day after my arrival in Paris.
I hope this helps. I'm in Paris, so PM me if you need translation or something!

I have stopped smoking indoors except at home. It curbs my vaping a bit, which is good to some extent, and it's good to have a stroll out of the office or the pub now and then.
People tend to react very differently to the vapour, my girlfriend is Asthmatic but only complains when there's fog in the flat, and it's more because of the fruity smell than anything else; some colleague found it irritant, and coughed a little after I changed the composition of my liquid, which tends to go towards the PG being more irritant: more cough when 70/30 PG/VG -
If anything, when people ask about the benefits of Vaping, I don't even push through the health arguments, I just say: No smell, no more snoring, less cough, less respiratory distress...
The fact that it's generally accepted as far less dangerous by the scientific community doesn't really work for people, i think because of a couple of bad journal articles... 'Tis a shame. -

There was this too: Polo and Bike CMNDR
It's cheapish but haven't heard anything about them or seen any in the flesh... -

Have tou tried Bone Conduction Heapphones? I have some Tredz Titanium, and while the quality isn't immence, it's actually surprisingly good for something that doesn't go in or over your hear.
They quite good for riding in general. It actually felt a bit safer while riding as I still kept envirnemental awareness... Although I don't ride with them anymore... -
It's part of the tank. It's a top fill atomizer, so the cone unscrews to reveal the tank. It's not amazing though, the taste and airflow are nice, but too much liquid is pushed in the wick everytime I screw the top on, and it's flooding the chamber, which is annoying.
The MOD on the other end, is awesome, with a few quirks, but awesome nonetheless. -
I always heard it was better to avoid charging batteries with built-in USB ports available on mods; even a cheapo nitecore does a better job and will make you batteries last longer.
Then again, I guess a rDNA has probably a better charging circuit than any Istick or Kanger Mod...
On an other topic, I just bought my first DNA chip Mod, and it's lovely:

Hi EJ,
I'd advise reading the rules before posting in the Classfifieds section:
No cross-posting adverts you've put on other sites. If you have an item for sale anywhere other than here, like ebay, bikeradar, ctc, retrobike, etc. then you cannot post it here. However, if you have posted it on one of those other sites, other people who have discovered it are allowed to post it in the eBay/Craigslist finds thread. You must not do this yourself.

The setup makes very little sense: saddle moved back, while HBars really high and saddle very low. If the rider is a reverse T-Rex, with short legs and long arms, I'd expect the bars to be lower and the saddle wouldn't be this far.
The Rider should either go for a bike fit or buy a bike his size...
That said, with a different setup, the bike could look very pretty. I don't think it belongs in Anti though.
That makes sense. Thanks!
Your bike looks balanced somehow. It's lovely!
