Inspired by this thread have contacted Greenwich council about training. Wiganwill et al I may contact you separately should my low expectations for the council be fulfilled. Will report back. If anyone has done this via Greenwich council a PM on the experience would be most appreciated.

Understood. As you can tell from the Bel Air above, I like the sleeper aspect of wolf in sheep's clothing, which the Amazon would be. But sadly as I have no driving license there is no old car in my near future (so I opted for a 1963 Mercian Superlight).

If you are into Volvo is the P1800 too predictable? or not enough power (probably true).

There should be enough room under that bonnet to fit a small block V8 (Ford 260?) if you fancied. Would sound great.

1962 Chevy Bel Air 409. Luxuries such as heater, radio, etc stripped out and deleted to save weight and go faster (sound familiar?).

I cheated. Looked to me like a newish Corvette motor. Despite the reflection I could make out the Volvette on the twin turbos. Google that and you will see it's twin turbos laced to a GM LS1 motor and packed into Volvo 740 estate for more. Not for me.

Correct Dodge Polara. 1964. Non-original motor.

I am happy with that brake setup for now. Just finished. If I had any regrets it's not to have done gum walls. Will do next time

For some reason these shredded as I peeled them off. Didn't bother me enough to pursue further. Will have another go

Ok to prove it now has pedals. Started taking the labels off the rims but couldn't be bothered. Someday will line up the valves and labels. If you have an easy way to remove the labels from the rims I am all ears

1963 Mercian Superlight

Returning to the forum but sadly not yet the road is the 1963 Superlight, sorry not entirely new to forumers. Yes this is the one Sumo offered here two months ago...Hope to finish before the weather turns. Thought there might be some interest in its whereabouts.
