Which getting in on this thread, similar situation: 'fun' smaller car she can use durin the week but that I can take two bikes in the back to Europe of a weekend.
6k budget.
1 series?
A3?Hmmmm
Honda Jazz, absolute tardis of a small car, as rear seats fold flat to the car and it's pretty square (mine is about 120*120 cm with seats down easy to get bikes in only removing front wheel, new models look similar). Definitely much more room than a 1 series of A3, possibly less fun? Also cheap to run very reliable, especially as almost all used Jazz's have been owned by the type of older person who does very few miles and gets it serviced/fixed whenever needed.

I don't think the spanner tip will work, or the retrueing, (though they also need that), the rims aren't dinged as in bent, it is more like there is a small chip/metal has been moved, with, in one case a sharp edge, hence me considering filing away the sharp edge. Just wondered if there were any catastophic consequences that might result from a bit of judicious use of the file/dremel.

Bought some second alloy wheels for my beater/commuter bike, a vast improvement over the original steel wheels. The front rim has a couple of dings/dents, presumably from being kerbed/ridden with a flat?
These are somewhat irritating producing a noticeable blip while braking and are no doubt greatly speeding the demise of my brake pads. Is it ok/wise to have a go at filing them down next time I have the wheels off?
Has anyone done this/similar, any tips?
Thanks in advance.

On the hunt for a short sleeve cycling jersey, but having some issues due to my shoulder size. I am pretty slim and tall (6 foot and 70 kgs with a 32" waist and ~15" collar) however due to doing a fair amount of rock climbing it seems my shoulders are bigger than the average cyclists, hence I seem to have problems with tops that fit in every other way, but garotte my armpits/bunch up round the shoulders in the size (normally Large) that fits the rest of my torso and are then too big in the torso in next size up (XL).
Does anyone else have this issue, or is it just me? Any recommendations of jersey styles/manufacturers with accomodating cuts in the shoulder region welcomed (I would like rear pockets if possible)! I am fed up of having to return mail order jerseys and the selection in my local shops is limited. Particularly interested if anyone can comment on the Torm sizing as they look super nice.
