I think the discussion tends to circle around clearcoat not being effective, then use linseed oil, then someone pops up to say clearcoat is fine, etc.

Not sure where to ask this. But i'm thinking of having a Reynolds 853 frame (Genesis day one) sandblasted then clear coated, going for the raw look similar to the clear coated raw Mash Work frames. Would those steps work or does sandblasting reduce the steel to silver/ grey?

How is that slightly oxidized raw look achieved? Thanks

If you pay based on experience/seniority, then post a salary band, use numbers, don’t just say it.

Why should anyone piss away emotional and physical labour preparing an application for a job only to get into the process and find out the pay is bad/ too low?

Comparing them with Shell is simplistic and sponsoring a trade team is also very different to sponsoring the official UK governing body.

Sorry but their heavy and aggressive lobbying for something as horrible and damaging as fracking puts them in the same category of bad as Shell (not to mention the damage that type of lobbying does to public life, democracy etc)
