it was good. it was German i understand. the onion gravy was great but was lacking Yorkshire pudding.

yes, why not. i fit role cages in racing cars for fun. not to mention building the whole car, except the paint. Not good with paint.

Have access to some nice tubes. can weld (braze and silver solder as well). know abit about geometry.

first i need to see what fixtures and fittings there are out there. then i will see which way i will go with the frame. But it will not be mainstream. it will fit what i need at the time as that is the best way to see what works.

no I dont have a Focus or a Kallkoff but did have a Raleigh back in the '70s as i think most kids getting into bikes at that time did.

and my next new bike should be my first frame build.

they also make Raleigh for the non UK European market as that name was also sold off.

you may also be surprised at what other names they make.

spent a lot of time testing the belt drive bikes. I was very sceptical at first, when they were first mentioned. I was taken aback by the ride. loved it even on a ladies step through shopper. the drive was so direct.

also had a go on the nuvici drive bikes. seems strange keeping a constant cadence but still being able to accelerate at the twist of a grip shift.

some of the electric bike were mad. some would reach 90kmh with pedal assistance.

1800km coach trip on 3 countries and 4 ferry trips (2 each way) Free beer and food for 2 days and lots of bargain parts.

plus get to test many many bikes,

and the next project build will be Belt drive and fixed.
