kinoko's blurb says the lombardia is perfect down to 10 degrees but I've had no problem down near 2/3 degrees w/it and a heavy under-armour winter base layer. prob recommend adding a gilet for good measure

great piece of kit; though think it needs re-proofing now. there was some discussion on the rapha thread iirc about gabba's need for re-proofing too

update - these are awesome but I wouldn't recommend you buy them for cycling. they'll definitely keep you warm in wet cold conditions but the 5mm neoprene is too thick so you lose feel and the 'grip' on these is non-existent

I wonder if lomo's thinner neoprene 'kayak' glove might be better - since it's engineered to give better feel while retaining the heating properties of neop

just need to remove wheel decals (red clashes w/the pink) and add new pedals & mudguards to complete project winter bike

I have a concorde frame in this colour way. want to reduce its weight a little though it's not going to be weenie - it's my winter bike. upgraded wheels to shimano R500s (need to remove decals from these) and group to SRAM apex. preponderance of black now so will probably keep stem and seatpost silver

can't decide on lighter stem, seat post and bars than current stock

do you have to reproof the gabba?

I have the capo ripoff (the lombardia) and it's waterproofing wore off after about 4/5 washes. still warm when wet regardless but will probably look into reproofing soon

update: sorted. took brake off again and took it to pieces, thoroughly cleaned and relubed. working and saved myself the quote 70£ for new brake set and labour

best way to unstick a seized side pull ultegra rear calliper?

have taken it off, cleaned, GT85'd to the heavens, and lubed. still seized. should I pull it apart and give it a full stripdown, clean, lube?

front was seized too: successfully taken off and cleaned, GT85'd etc and it's like new now.

awesome - just realised this store is based in glasgow; will pop down on monday and bag a pair. worth a try at least at that price

definitely going to grab some neoprene: I can put up with pruney & smelly more than frozen & miserable

sealskins all-weather are rubbish. another week, another ride where I get soaked through after 30 mins of rain and spend the rest of the ride nursing frozen fingers

heavy bikes aren't extra training iirc - you just go slower for the equivalent amount of watts. happy to be corrected tho, cos my winter bike is heavy (steel)
