took my front wheel to LBS to have bearings replaced and they have broken the axel and cannot locate a replacement (they're odd C4 american wheels). they're claiming they didn't mistreat the wheel in anyway, the axel just broke under normal tension when trying to put it back in following the bearing replacement
if they can't find something similar to replace the axel with, am I just singularly out of luck? enter LBS w/one working wheel (albeit w/rough bearings) and exit LBS w/no working wheel?

A82 is so grim that at one point we got beeped from a driver for cycling... on the cycle path
it's a real grin & bear it stretch of road. shame because I like riding glen fruin and I think the A82's the only way to access it
thanks for the hats, too. no pics sadly as I use my phone to record my rides and that's strain enough on the battery as is

holy shit @ that tobias ludvigsson footage
what's the latest on him?
edit: @GiantShimano: Update on @tludvigsson, initial checks show nothing broken after his #Giro TT crash. He's having further tests now, more news to come later.

probably an odd question but can the bearings in hubs add significant weight to a wheel? I have quite a light set of wheels (1490g for the pair, at least I think that's light) and the bearings sound like they're shot in the front (making some real odd noises.)
will I have to pay $$$$$$ to get light bearings? pls 2 excuse my noobyness
