Where are you planning to get Ultegra hubs in those drillings?
If you're not going to race, 32/32 has no disadvantages, and you can actually get them.
is there a better lighter, just-as-strong, equivalent-price alternative that I'm not considering but should be?
if not, will 32/32 basically be bomb-proof but have a slight weight penalty?

Risoul The diverse walks of life on Tour never cease to amaze. Near the top of the 34km Col du Lautaret, first climb of the day, a van has stopped and two men are plying paintbrushes energetically on the road. Nothing unusual there, fans paint stuff constantly on the Tour’s tarmac. But this is an official Tour support van, and the van men are not painting a name or a slogan, but glossing over a giant pink phallus, so it will not show from the television helicopter.

what's the consensus on how the rose bikes ride? they seem as good value as canyon used to be
from a quick look, it seems like:
xeon RS: ultimate AL SLX
xeon CRS: ultimate CF SL
xeon x-lite: ultimate CF SLXx-lite w/dura-ace is £3K, which seems like a great price. canyon's do have pedigree tho (even tho that's increasingly becoming tainted by anecdotal frame failure chat)

the decathlon coke gels are the worst gels going. srsly give me the boak. their salted peanut caramel gels are nicer, more expensive tho
CNP & torq stuff is generally OK but you have to buy on deal for them not to be prohibitively expensive if you ride regularly
advice above is good. if I'm riding 100, I'll have a decent sized bowl of pasta the night before; a big flapjack or bowl of porridge & honey or toast & peanut butter pre-ride then on the ride I'll have a few slices of soreen coated in peanut butter, a banana, and will stash 1 sports energy bar (and a couple of gels just in case I need them in the last 30 miles)
the sky rice cakes look good but not tried them:

new chain and cassette fitted and gears setup by bike shop but when I stand up out of the saddle in the little ring, the chain is 'slipping' when I push down with force
this is both annoying and potentially dangerous (have already bruised my knee, banging it into the bars when the chain slipped on a steep hill)
how do I stop this happening? do the chain and cassette wear into each other? adjust the b-screw?
I like the DHB blok range
