Thanks guys for the advice,
I don't know the person too well so not sure if she will or not (or if she even realizes that she could've done damage) - haven't had any contact so far today... Re: evidence? I don't have video or anything, but another colleague went running out of his office yelling at her to stop reversing (from his description it sounds like she hit it and then continued to reverse slightly).
Will head down to a LBS tomorrow. (annoyed that I didn't cycle today so I could have gotten it done!)

My bike was locked up at work with a d lock through the rear wheel, frame and bike stand and someone leaving the car park reversed into it and hit the wheel straight on. The wheel is basically fine, but there is a slight buckle in it.
Another colleague saw the incident and said he saw my whole bike move forward slightly when this happened but that my d lock stopped it from moving too far. I know I should check for other damage possibly caused by the car pushing the bike but the bike being held in place by the lock but unless there is something obviously cracked or bent in the rear triangle I'm not sure what to look for. Does anyone have any suggestions?
It cycled home fine last night. But I want to make sure I have all the information before I go to the person that hit it (and didn't stop! or come find me and tell me).
Thanks for any advice, trying to tread carefully as I have to work with this person and it's a fairly small office.

I have an MBK (have painted over/ peeled off most of the decals) mixtie frame with forks, full mudguards, seatpost, quill stem, handlebars, front and rear brake (no levers or cable) for sale.
I've had it for a few years, it has been repainted (hammerite - black) it's not rusty but there are some chips in the paint. Selling it because I got a new bike.
It's 50 c-tPick up from Brockley (or could meet up at a train station on one of the lines.) looking for 60 quid or best offer.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Friday I saw Therapy?, Sunday was Bow Wow Wow and Adam Ant. Both of which were incredible gigs. Tonight it's off to see The Fall. I am possibly living in the past a little musically...
How was The Fall gig? I like how every time they play it's different , makes a nice change from bands that play the same set over and over again. Mark E. is good at changing it up.
Off to see Art of Burning Water at the Unicorn in Camden tonight... free gig so if you're looking for something to do it's worth checking it out.

Do I know you? I go to a lot of shows within the AOBW/AH/Rip This Joint/Li Grand Zombi/Naked Claw scenes; I saw the name and thought you might be have been Shaziyah, but the location is wrong.
NO... I am not Shaziyah. Been going to RTJ for the over 2 years, but have been watching AoBW and Silent Front and the West London folks for longer... Mostly the noisy stuff though. Byron from OUS is mine.... :) It's my zine that kicks around RTJ most of the time.
There are loads of gigs coming up that aren't that crowd putting them on, a different mix of bands.

First Band on - the ones you must have seen - were Astrohenge. Utterly insane. My jaw was dropped, the drummer was about as quick as I have ever seen, fuck knows what the keyboard player was doing, and twin metal guitars out front was ace. It was about 30 mins into their set before it kinda registered that they didn't have a singer... I was so entranced by their aural assault I didn't notice. I do not envy any band who has to go on after them, ever.
If you like them it might be worth heading up to the Unicorn in Camden to see Art of Burning Water on the 24th. free gig and they're pretty hardcore.
Loads of good gigs coming up before Christmas... Telescopes (nov 27) and then Truman's water a few weeks later at Herne Hill Half Moon. and then... Gnod + One Unique Signal + Hey Colossus mid December.... yay!

There is at least one Taco Bell site in the UK in operation at the Strategic Air Command and United States Air Force bases at RAF Mildenhall and RAF Lakenheath but, commensurate with existing security controls, access is restricted to relevant service personnel.
There is one on each base... went on Sunday... and its better than Taco Bell in the states for some reason....

I have rainy day converse that I sprayed with tent proofing from army surplus.
oooh... how well does that work. Spoke to the guy in the outdoor store when I was getting reproofing stuff for my softshell and he said he didn't recommend spraying shoes cause you'd have to do it too often? This is exciting if it works. damp socks are the worst thing ever.

Throbbing Gristle is a real challenge to listen to. It's just noise, there i said it.
but amazing noise. Not to mention they make their own instruments, combine both sonic and visual art in a way that most artists can't... and they're really lovely people.
I don't think I get this thread. Is it stuff we like, but that we think others might find challenging? Or is it stuff that we feel we should like, but find too challenging? Or what?
It's music people don't like.
why does challenging have to be disliked? The more you challenge yourself the better you become, whether that's doing physical or mental things. Music can challenge people mentally and the challenge can expand your perception. People who dislike anything that's challenging won't get anywhere... Some of the best music challenges you, your mind, your ears, your patience.... if it wasn't challenging it'd be boring and then what's the point?
