Alright, fair cop. This doesn't have classic status as it's new, but it's superb. The Boardroom are excellent, and this is groovy.

Hello there,
I’m looking to commission somebody based in London, like me, who is willing and able to custom-build me a bike. I like the idea of putting something together with the help of somebody with expertise, not like me, rather than buying a complete bike from the classifieds, tempting though lots of them are. Somebody else on the forum had agreed to do it and had gone as far as buying a frame but he’s now dropped out, so I’m looking now only within London, which really will be a whole lot more convenient for both of us. I have as many details and requirements as you need but have chosen not to list them all here – I’d prefer to gauge potential interest first of all. I’m serious about this, so it will absolutely happen so far as I’m concerned.
If it helps, I’m not a hipster – I wear glasses because I can’t see.
Form as orderly queue hopefully...
Cheers

First track from the rather wonderful and ancient DiY compilation Strictly For Groovers, the only CD I've ever managed to crack almost in half and can no longer play

DIY were the nuts - Digs n Whoosh, DK, Pez, Jack, Emma - all wicked. Went to many of their partys, best being Castle Morton in '92. Remember my mates were talking about going up there, trying to persuade me to go with them. Was sitting down watching TV and it came up on Central News 'illegal rave gets bigger and bigger....blah, blah' looked wicked! Rung up my mates and we drove down there in his camper
Walked into the main tent to Digs n Whoosh playing 'Sueno Latino' on about -2, great memories....Still got one of the tapes kickin around somewhereYou may have written this ages ago, but I love DiY too. I used to live in Nottingham, so went to their Floppy Disco nights at The Bomb a lot. That's my favourite club ever. DiY have thrown a couple of parties recently at The Brickhouse down Brick Lane, one for their 20th birthday and a follow-up for no particular reason. Simon DK, Digs & Whoosh played. There's no beating a DiY crowd. Brilliant nights both. Good thread, and site, I must say.

Chuffed to have found this general welcome thread. I've been spending ages on this site, picking up tips and whathavya. Having some laughs. I bought my first ss/fixed about a month ago and I'm totally smitten. I'm obsessed actually. Riding between 60-90 miles a week, to work and just fun rides around in my spare time. Having the most amount of fun. Haven't tried fixed yet though. BUT - I'm already thinking of my next bike, upgrading, then planning on building one from scratch...this is seriously addictive stuff...I forgot how much I love cycling.

Seller states that he got it off evilBay for 185, which is not too steep a price considering it is a complete bike. Would not rule out a bid if the price stays south of that :)
Cheers for the comments. I've just started riding again so I'm trying to brush up on what's what - I figured it must be a clapped out bike, but it looks decent to me. It caught my eye there.

OK, apologies from an exposed and red-faced newbie for some of my choices here. My favourite house track ever would be a repost and I know I shouldn't do that - Global Communication - The Way; Secret Ingredients mix. Timeless. Even Tom Middleton prefers it over the original as I've heard him play it a few times, and it's rare for a remix to trump an original. I don''t dare get involved in the football thread now...
