I'm selling my lovely Reynolds 853 yellow pursuit frameset, made by Isla bikes in the mid 1990's, as I am retiring from the world of brakeless riding. Only 4 were ever made, and were for the Isla track team in the UK
Paintwork is a bit scratched so you could either leave it as is or respray it, I'm 5'10' and can ride it comfortably. The seatpost is stuck at the position seen in the avatar photo, so if you are keen you can get it sorted via Superted etc.
Comes with Miche 48t chainring and Izumi 1/18 chain, riser bars, and Nitto stem. Pedals are Animal, and the straps are Holdfast.
Would like £330 for the frameset, cash on collection from Brixton.
Photos to follow tonight, but the frame can be seen in my avatar photograph.

Just trying to make a living. Way to hate on someone not sitting on their arse claiming benefits.
1) So am I and its hard.
2) Its not America
3)I'm not hating, just describing something insane - a Gasmask and a guy in the rain with a wet envelope.
4) I'd probably make more money on benifits and shotting weed than couriering and music but I've chosen the hard way.
5)One love Etienne stay safe dude (or dude-ess)

I saw Gasmask Hybrid man in Brixton then again later in Vauxhall on Friday - how the fuck does that dude breathe?
Also saw a newbie courier with no courier bag, a radio round his neck held with rope (!), no waterproofs, flat back tyre on his mountain bike in the pissing rain holding a soaking wet envelope going slowly up Queen Victoria St last Tuesday - classic.

I wish my bike was that clean. Dont personally like light colours.
The trackstand barspin near the end was good.
Other than that it was really boring, and the best thing about this thread was RPM's reply, only let down by the quite delusional opinion that Sir Arnold Swarzenegger discovered Vimto. Your wrong, it was in fact Cardinal Richeleau of the Spanish Inquisition. How else do you explain his wondrously coloured red robes?

Remember, this is only my opinion, and I say it without apology:
Basically, getting a job as a courier is like signing up to go to war. Your at war with everything on the road: cars, peds, buses, cabs, bikes, commuters and yourself. I'm usually on the road in the morning for about ten minutes before another road user does something that fucks me off to the point I start shouting all manner of bollocks at them. By the same token, a lot of the things I do piss other users off, so its swings and roundabouts, and I try not to take anything personally.
If your emotionally unstable dont do it. If you like a beer during the day or a smoke, chances are you wont be as productive as the next man who doesnt.
My advice is, turn up at the firm you wanna ride for as son as their fleet dept opens in the morning, and get stuck in. Other couriers will give you advice, some of them will give you good advice, some bad. If your street knowledge is shit, you wont get hired, unless you cheat the test - this has been done by many riders but I wouldnt recommend you do it.
I've done it for two years and cant imagine doing anything else, the future scares the shit outta me as I'll never find a job this fun again.
Just dont work for my agency, we've got too many riders already.
Feel free to PM me with questions - but I might not have the right answers, this is all I'm gonna say for now.
Big up Moving Target, Bill, my controllers and fellow colleagues and all other working couriers worldwide you are all heroes, dont forget Donkey Derby tomorrow in the Horseshoe, Clerkenwell Close open to all working couriers. . .beers and shenanegans guarenteed

So ya didn't think it through, really, did you? I wasn't 'tailgating' you, and only partly cause you don't have a tailgate. Did you mean 'drafting', dear?
No. I hadn't passed you firstly because you'd been wobbling all over the shop like a kiddie with the stabilisers off for the first time. Then I didn't pass because we were approaching a junction with a red light, and it wouldn't have been sensible. In fact, it would have been totally against your interests because you were going to shoot right off the road and down the pavement (like a kid). My judgment was correct. Yours wasn't. Now fuck off.
Interesting bike though - yellow Islabike track bike with the thinnest bridge I have ever seen on the seatstays.
Now it's pretty obvious who I mean, I may well have insulted a venerable member of the forum, who appears to be a working courier.
Still rides like a wazzock.
Your fuckin funny dude! I could hear you ranting at the lights while I rode away.
I was hungover this morning and was worried you'de hit me from behind if someone crossed at the upcoming crossing. What happened after that had nothing to do with my actions against you and it was up to you if you still wanted to be upset. I understand I 'rode like a kid'. Well, I feel like one to be honest, never cared for 'growing up'.
I hope after meeting me your day improved and you had a pleasant day, as I did riding all day in the glorious sun.
Peace out bro.
