Walthamstow is alright really. The village is nice but it is pretty small and not really as nice as it is supose to be, worth checking out though. Waltham oak is a nice pub towards the top of lea bridge road near whips cross, you can get a nice meal and a pint of anything you want for like a fiver i think. The walnut tree is a pretty nice pub in leytonstone, you do get alsorts in there though.
