Is that Fignon's bike from the '89 TDF ?
I guess it's to small for Fignon but otherwise a Système-U Raleigh in 1989 TdF set-up. They started out with white bartape then changed to the red-white-blue bartape for the quatorze juillet stage (Bastille Day) and left it on for the remaining stages.
On the other hand, I suspect it's a replica since the original team bikes didn't have a pump-peg but did have a peg to fix the race number under the top tube (dunno the English word for that).

Also does anyone know what the reason for the Bianchi having that odd headset cap bolt is?
That was a temporary solution: the old Mizuno expander snapped and my LBS made an expander from an old bar-end and a piece of threaded rod that kept everything in place until a new expander was found for the 1" full carbon fork.

That clip comes from a "news" item on Dutch television. Item was about the growing popularity of fixed gear bikes and the resulting accidents and injures. They talked with serveral hipsters from Amsterdam who bragged about "stopping the bike on a nickel" because they know how to handle a fixed gear bike. Needless to say that the above crash from that very same hipster did not add to their credibility. But he survived (the Seat did not hit him). All in all the item did not put the fixed gear scene in a favorable light since it underlined all bias against such bikes.

Hi forum, I'm Timo from Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and these are my current bikes. A protest bike for my girl. She's an art school student (Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam) and the text reads "leftish hobby" which is what some right wing politicians in The Netherlands call all subsidies for art and culture. They want to stop all such subsidies and she's obviously against such plans. Waiting for the ordered pedals but otherwise almost complete: Steel Zieleman frame, Cinelli stem and bar, Campagnolo Record high flange hubs and DT18 rims, Salsa brake lever and RX100 brake. My own bike is a Presto. Not the Japanese manufacturer! Presto is a bike shop in Amsterdam. They used to have a line of Columbus tubed steel frames. They were build in the factory of Andrea Pesenti in Italy, painted in Belgium and build up in Amsterdam. I've build this with the frame from the geared racing bike I owned 15 years ago. In 1999 I passed it on to a room mate when I bought a new bike. Much to my surprise I ran into him a few months ago and found that he still owned the bike. Nostalgia got the better of me and he actually gave me the bike back for free. I stripped it of all the old Shimano 8sp stuff and got some old (80s/90s I hope the experts in this forum can tell me?) Campagnolo Record Pista stuff - crankset, bottom bracket headset, seat post, chain - several wheelsets (some FG, some SS) and old 80s Campa Record front brake and dug up my 20 years old Rolls saddle. Pedals are Shimano and have to be changed to Campa in the near future, wheels are Record hubs with Sapim spokes and Mavic GP4 tubular rims. Stem and handlebar are Cinelli A1 and Criterium.
Ah, that figures!
