I’m about to buy a new bike! Yay.
It will have gears! Not so yay!
I’ve recently had tennis elbow, which means I’ve now had tennis elbow in both arms (neither injury was caused playing tennis; one was triggered by pouring cups of tea during the Dunwich Dynamo). Both were fixed with injections, though obviously I now have a weakness.I usually ride with straight bars but google tells me that drops possibly would be best for long rides.
Anyone had similar injuries? Drops or straight bars? (And how long will it take me to get used to drops?)
Thanks for any input.

Thanks @hoefla yes I did.
I did 26 miles in all.I’ve come to the conclusion that unless I leave even earlier or move further in, I won’t attempt this again, but I’m delighted that after so many failed attempts over the years, I got there, albeit a little late.
Merry Christmas everyone

She made the suggestion, I understand
@hoefla as far as I am aware
The difference between the two venues is that one will host our party for free, including drinks and canapes, and the other we will have to pay for.
What would you do? -
I'm involved in organising a party in November and we've got the choice of two venues. The almost perfect venue doesn't have a lift and our guest of honour is in a wheelchair. How easy is it to find 4 fit people who can carry the lady in her wheelchair up the stairs, hang around for two hours and then carry the lady in the wheelchair down the stairs again?

Now all booked and paid for. This is happening in 6 weeks time. So I’ve now got 6 weeks to get fit. Gulp!
I’ve worked out that as long as I am up to doing 3 days of 3 consecutive rides of 30 miles, with some Hill training, I should be okay-ish but if anyone has got any tips on training or prep I’d be happy to hear them.
