Indeed, bad luck. There are times when you wish you hadnt bothered taking the bike out but thankfully for the most part those days are rare and I couldnt swap the simple joy I get from riding for just jumping in a car and not bothering.

Today i got a flat on my commuter fixie on the way home from work. Limped it home then used my second bike (MTB) to ride up to Piccadilly Station as I didnt have time to fix the flat. On my way back from the station one of the cranks fell off my MTB and I had to limp this one home as well :(

Two bikes disabled in one day. I'm hoping to get back to actually completing my journeys again tomorrow.

Those sanctimonious Americans like to have someone whos 'gonna pay' when they are wronged in some way. BP will ultimately ask the UK government (UK tax payer = u & me) to cover the cost of US claims. This cost will run to tens of billions of pounds putting the UK into bigger debt and financial crisis. This oil spill is a complete nightmare for us all. Thanks BP.

The Langster weighs 9.2kg complete. The Plug weighs in at 10.7kg. Not sure how these compare with your Fuji but if weight alone is your deciding factor then get the Langster.

I'm originally from Bebington, living in Manchester now though. I've taken my Langster on the Wirral roads a few times this year as I like to get back to see the folks every few weeks and I know what you mean about no other fixed riders. I guess the fixie craze hasnt hit Wirral yet.

@ MinhDinh, So your boss bought the Langster? Good choice imo. Very light and strong mass production fixed gear bike...and very fast too :)

I hope this doesnt begin a trend of roadkill picture posts that could get quite unsightly indeed.
