Hope you alright mate. We met once at Herne Hill will Cedric... I think you are that Howard anyway... Don't sort it out with the driver, get a lawyer involved. Even a couple of bruises could get you a couple of grands on top of cost of any damage of your gears. I know this might sound greedy, but he was at fault, he has to pay for it. Full stop.
A couple of grands for what? A genuine question.
Also, if the driver is willing to sort it out, it would seem weird for me to try to make things as difficult as possible, for everyone involved. But I'm sure there is some underlying moral principle that I'm missing.

Nibali beat Uran and Evans at the Giro, the level of competition was significantly lower than at the Tour.
I think Froome showed last year that he can beat Nibali over three weeks, and nothing has happened since then to suggest he couldn't do it again.
I think a year has passed since the last Tour, and during that time Nibali has a) beaten Froome once and b) looked stronger than ever in the Giro. To me this is exactly the kind of stuff that suggests that he might be able to challenge Froome.

Was this observation really worth it's own thread?
I thought this was the point. The truth is, one can invent any number of hypotheses 'supported' by some anecdotal observations mentioned somewhere on the Internet. Only a fraction of such hypotheses are worth any serious consideration; I think most people simply think that OP's isn't one of them.

Why is Gove so impressed by the Swedish system? It's not as if the Swedes would be doing particularly well for such a rich country: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Programme_for_International_Student_Assessment#2009

If the margins are narrow people wax nostalgic about the golden days when some riders were head and shoulders above the others; if someone is head and shoulders above the others people say that the excitement is gone because the margins are too wide. I personally look forward to seeing what Nibali will pull off now that he can ride virtually stress free (if all the mountains aren't cancelled, that is).

Just watched it here. They didn't have it live yesterday though.
Edit: Apparently they've earlier used airplanes instead of helicopters in the Galibier if the weather has been shite.
Also, start enforcing the 20mph zones now. In my estimation, about one driver out of 20 actually adheres to the limit, and if you do you are bound to have someone tailgating within 30 seconds. Surely it only teaches the drivers it is OK (in fact, socially expected) for one to speed.
