They are NOS spanish campy copies, €20 a pair. Not great build quality, but they look the shit. Adding some chrome toe clips and white leather straps soon. I can give you the guy's email address if you like, he has a lot of nice vintage stuff, but you would have to get them posted from the Netherlands.

If there is anything specific you need let me know, the guy around the corner has a lot of nice old stuff. He even has a track frame from 1889!

First ss build. Need to get some dust caps for the cranks, toe clips and drop bars as I'm mostly using it in the evenings / weekends, apart from that it's awesome. I was super happy with the matching rims, until I tried to change a tire and found out they were tubs. Any tips or points are welcome...

Tektro RL720 and RL726 'Cross Top' Brake Lever
velosolo.com does what your after. I'm using one as a single lever, so I don't know how they work really. Nice, but the cable goes directly to the lever, so it wobbles about every time you brake.

'allo,
Just built up my first proper ss, the lbs let me use their torque wrench on the street!
I've adjusted the chain tension as much as I can a la Sheldon, tapping the chain and tightening the bolts, but I still have a loose chain with my right foot forward. I took a screw driver and rested it on the frame next to the inside of the smallest sprocket while spinning the cassette (im still waiting on my freewheel, so middle sprocket of cassette does for now) and it seems to be not centred.
Is this a possible cause? The hub is a campy nuevo record with a maillard screw on cassette circa 1977. Cheers for any input.,
David

I just started putting bits on a Champion Mondial frame I picked up, along with a sweet matching wheel set with campy record hubs and arc en ciel rims. Trying to keep it vintage, single speed and not too shiney as I'm moving to London at the end of summer and I don't want my Dutch souvenir nicked.
Any tips on stopping surface rust (localised clear coat perhaps?) would be great. Kaas or Zieleman, maybe you know where I can find cream touch up paint, I'm in s'Hertogenbosch.
Do you gents know what year it's from, if it's an A or B( SN: 3202809 Roto cast bb shell)?
Also any general tips on ss, it's my first, not counting the frankenbeater I ride every day.
PS, does anyone know what these Miche cranks are (170)? Nothing on VeloBase
Cheers,
David
The server doesn't like me, so here are some links pics of the Miche cranks etc.

Cheers Fruit, I'm living in the Netherlands just now, so I might pop along to his place.

Ah just get it TIG welded then spot the paint, you don't need to go for a full re-spray. I'm trying to find a good match for the blue in a rattle can, I'll let you know if I have any success.
