sorry fellas ... been carrying an injury for weeks but today felt good ... so i should be ok
was planning to throw myself into saturday .. meet folks of the train/keep feral youth at bay etc whatever support roles are needed .... if i'm well enough to play i'm happy to join any team that needs an old cripple an a brompton ... prolly got some crashing/sofa space if needed too ...but we do have a grand slam to win, so i might need to get to a pub at some point in the afternoon to watch France get outclassed
-
too true .... got there late... not helped because i had to walk quite a bit of my route there cos of all the ice ... d'oh ... hadn't even occurpd to me that there would be ice on the court ... nearly felt adventurous enough to check out the new courts that luke found .. just to see if that was playable, but opted for central heating and hot chocolate instead

correction .. found the link http://www.n30strike.org/location/newcastle/
it's pretty much all over by 10.00 AM ... the march/rally thing is at spillers wharf down the quayside
-
yep ... the early start lost me straight away ... and the mention of dancing .. !!!!
i think there's a rally/march from the centre for life (12.00) up to the monument (1.00PM) ... might be a bit crowded if the shitty christmas food stalls are still there.
if ur heading in, let me know and we can meet up

Support the N30 STRIKE- Solidarity BIKE RIDE!
On November 30th over 3 million people will take direct action against the Government’s austerity agenda. In one of Britain’s biggest strikes in living memory, teachers, construction workers and fire fighters will all come together on picket lines to reject the Government's unjust assault on public sector pensions.
The government and the media have tried to discredit the action by saying that the strikers don't have public support.
Let’s show them that they’re wrong.Join us for a SOLIDARITY BIKE RIDE around the Newcastle Pickets!
We will be serving tea and dancing to protest tunes old & new!!
Come along and show your support for people on the picket lines at schools, colleges, universities and hospitals around the town centre...Meet Wednesday 7.15am at the bottom of Sidney Grove, Fenham, or 7.30am at St.Thomas' Church, Haymarket
... you're right .. it's a sodding chain ...
... blame it on the beers and tiny screen i was using ... shoulda checked b4 posting .. sorry peeps .. just got a bit overexcited at the prospect
