Claim to be Araya rims and I have no reason to think otherwise but there is no model nameon the rim. If anyone is able to identify the model I wold be very interested.

edit: I stand corrected - looks like there were some previously unavailable ones on the Soundcloud. Now they've out in the ether, I'm sure they'll pop up again before too long..

Sorry for the late reply..
Dendenium's Sheldon link covers it all well, but the BB threading is the only place you'll likely have trouble. I tried & failed to find anywhere local that would re-tap the threads, but in the end just kept the original BB cups and replaced the spindle with a shorter one I found digging around at a local bike co-op.
I replaced the 27" wheels with 700's and use a long-drop (R556? something like that) Tektro brake on the front. Oh, and the seatpost's a semi-awkward 25.0 size too.
Serves me well as a cheap & cheerful beater, but not anything worth spending real money on.. -
