The thing that get's me incredibly upset about O'Reilly is the fact that he is well educated, and very aware of the falsities which he supports. But he does it for ratings. If he didn't get a Harvard education and truly believed the things he said, then you might have to feel bad for him. He lies to himself and to the viewers in order to be the most watched show in America. The second highest viewed news program, MSNBC, has half the viewers Fox does.

Swrve jumper?!
Cycle stuff is fine for light skiing to lunch and dicking around.
Wouldn't be caught dead off piste in deep powder without a proper technical outerlayer, snow skirt, integrated pants, proper gloves and a really good helmet. But then I would never hire skis and definitely NEVER hire boots.
Also if it hits -20 or starts throwing down heavy snow you're going to be fucked wearing a jumper/fleece and pipe gloves or endura gloves. Leather or goretex - or leather and gore tex (ftw)..
Remember it's the mountains, not London.
Like everything else, it depends how far you're pushing yourself and the gear.This.
Nothing is worse than wearing improper clothing on mountains. The only gear that can cross both activities is possibly spring skiing attire, and base layers. I wear my soft shell for winter riding, but the jacket is absolute fail mid-winter skiing.
Also, layers are important. Thin outer shell that is extremely water proof yet breathable with thermals underneath.

I use a ziploc bag presently but I think Ortlieb claim you can make calls and text while it's in their bag.
That's useful to me, but would like to know if that's only under certain circumstances or whatever...What do round-the-world cyclists use?
Or yacht-owning-motherfuckers?iphone still operable through a ziploc bag. I use them, also cheap.
or you can buy a ziploc bag for $7.50
