Hi gang,
Reluctantly converting my Van Tuyl road bike to a ss
I need the usual to make this happen (Track wheel, chainset (44t min)(with bb ideally), single speed freewheel (ideally 17t), straight bars & suitable levers)
Open to any suggestions (price, colour finish, condition) but must be in very good condition functionally (cosmetically not so important)
Hope this makes sense !!
Thanks all

Hey all,
Did'nt get a pic - just seen a guy (who I know sells stolen bikes on Brick Lane) in Victoria Park with a black and white Cannondale SL (something) with Shimano 105 groupset, distinctive red road pedals (possibly Look).......say 2010/11 model--- roughly size 54/56
His mate also had a Specialised mountain bike----Silver, front suspension hard tailThese guys hang around the park a bit......easy to find them if we wanted.......they tried to sell the bikes to me.
Hope this might be of some help to someone !!!

....not worries about being period specific - parts just have to fit is all !!

So im pretty sure my headet is this (the Primax - 3rd pic down):
http://www.t-trader.eu/vintage-parts/headsets/
....I make it a 42mm stack height. I don't think I could go any shallower on the stack height either or il be over the bars on my arse im sure !
I also notice when looking to buy a replacement the mention of English/Italian/French threads ! Assuming I need English? This bike stuff is so confusing.......!!
Rgd the bottom bracket.......I measured my bb shell and it seems to be 68mm (well more like 66/67mm ! weird?). Now, I need to buy new chainset anyway, so im looking to buy a bundle i.e. chainset with matching bb. So I just need to make sure that the bb is British, right? (as It will deffo fit the chainset it comes with !)
Thanks again all !
