Sorry I haven't been on the forum much lately.... but the good news is I found the cue sheet and Katie-Coo and I rode it again in June, so I've done the route twice...
Hopefully this weekend I will have time to type it out for you. Right now it's just in my own chicken scratches.
My route starts from South London, so getting out of London is different, but the end part looks roughly the same. You can choose to go either way around the Hanningfield resevoir, depending if you want a more scenic or more apocalyptic type setting. :-) -

So anyone catch the Channel 4 documentary the other night? You can watch it on 4od, "my tattoo addiction". Some interesting stories in there, I liked the one about the old racist getting his st georges flag covered up with the japanese stuff.
But for the most part, it was cringeworthy. The scenes from Ayia Napa made my toes curl. Awful dross. Quite surprised that the artists there would be OK with giving people tattoos when they're visibly drunk or on pills.
The most bizarre of all was the guy in his late thirties covering himself in Miley Cyrus tattoos. After his marriage broke up, one day he had some sort of epiphany while listening to one of her songs on the radio and decided to get her name tattooed on him. Three or four times. And names of her songs. And portraits of her.
Ah yes here it is:

I can understand why the term 'ladies', as used in the 19th century and earlier, would render this jersey undesirable (I expect we all can!) but for me at least, the word used in this context has quite positive connotations and doesn't advocate Victorian conventions or ideals of femininity at all.
Either way, I'm sad you don't want a jersey :)
I agree with Alex too. Words and symbols do evolve and change meaning over time (ie: the swasika actually means "to be good" and yet now will forever be associated with the hate of the Nazi regime) and I think that that has happened to the term 'ladies,' in that it has quite positive connotations and doesn't advocate Victorian conventions or ideals of femininity at all
I think it's too bad that the term still holds such negative connotations for both of you (kat and saorise).

I'm not a fan of making something deliberately feminine because it is going to be worn by females
Just because there's a demand for another lfgss jersey it doesn't mean that us ladies can't have our own special one,
If people could be arsed there would be loads of forum jerseys for all the little forum niches and people wouldn't bat an eyelid at there being a ladies one.
As for "LFGSS Ladies", I like the alliteration of the phrase
Keep the ladies! I are proud to be an LFGSS Lady! People are different...embrace the difference!
Tbh I find being called 'miss' more patronising than being called a lady. Not that I get called a lady very often.

Excellent score for me today! I had no idea it was an official 'pick-up-your-jersey' location, I just happened to be in Balham! Woo hoo! Thanks poots. x
Poots, if there's any issue getting Cara's jersey to her in Brockley (SE4), you can always drop at mine early this week as I'll see her on Thursday and could give to her. Sorry if I had seen this thread earlier I would have grabbed it from you today!
