@ jayloo and mortari - I think I'm out for the Cambridge ride as it's just too early a morning after a friends birthday bash the night before... :-(

but I'm totally up for a loop ride (or another day to Cambridge) as a warm up to longer (and hillier) rides to come... just please no start times before 10am!

I'd be happy for a ride to somewhere other than Brighton seeing as its the only place outside of London I have ridden to so far. (and a ride without a hill like ditchling would be great!)

I'm totally up for a shorter ride too, like a loop or something? don't look to me for suggestions though, I'm only just building up my personal route database.

I should add - the request people ride without gears isn't a bit shit, that's unfair: there are TONS of rides on this forum, and no one has ever asked that, yet the forum is dedicated to that very detail - riding without gears.

But you (or anyone) would be welcome to ride on whatever contraption you see fit, if you so desire / have medical necessity thereof. I started a thread. You lot make the ride. It's not like anyone can ever control this lot. Which is a good thing.

Why not choose your two favourite gears and just use them?

I'm happy with whichever pub. Roebuck is good for location for me, George & Vulture is good cause it's my friend's place. Reading over the thread it seems that the majority favour Roebuck, so why not go there in March, and go to George and Vulture next time?

I'd totally be up for this and would boost your female numbers, but your 'fixed only' rule is a bit shit. I ride fixed everyday in the city, but me knee gives out after about 30km continuous riding, so I'd only come if I was riding my geared bike. So looks like I'm 'not allowed' on your ride.

it looks tempting, but if you're working all day, don't you have any issues staying awake/with enough energy to finish the ride?

thanks for the explanation teddy. Fair enough, but my feedback would be allowing two people to register together, as now I am going on it alone (as it sounds like a lot of people are) instead of spending the day with the friend / partner as planned.

that was ridiculous. I finished registering myself and went to do my friend coming from France and it was full! I was on there at 11:55! WFT? How is anyone who shares a computer (a couple or family) supposed to go together?

What's with the code for pre-registering? how many people were pre-registered? 450 people in 5 minutes is insane! There must've been lots of people pre-registered.
