Only issue I’ve found with Mojave is it breaks Zoom.
On calls if I maximise the video, I lose the tool bar, so can’t mute, share or leave meeting without messing about with the top menu. Keyboard shortcuts still work though.
Wanted to like dark mode, but think it’s just ugly. Even more so when half my apps don’t support it.

I have an All-City Nature Boy 853 with a Whisky #9 fork. I've been commuting on it, but my backpack is killing me and it's time to get the weight onto the bike. However, I hate the look of rear racks/panniers.
Ideally I'd like a basket on the front that I could just dump my backpack in and bungee down. Trouble is, the Whisky #9 doesn't have a bolt on the front of the crown (though it does at the rear) and the eyes near the drop outs are described as 'fender mounts', suggesting they may explode with the weight of a rack.
Should I give up, or are there some decent options I'm unaware of that would allow me to run a basket?

One for Tester or other engineering types...
I have a mill with some linear calliper things on each axis and a DRO box, but the cables are shot.
Every cheap set of digital calipers in the world seems to come with a “data output port” which is what I’m using, but for the life of me I cannot find any cable or loose plug that is designed to fit said port. The DRO side is RJ11 I think.
Do these cables exist, what should I be Googling? Or do I rip it all out and buy a £250 eBay DRO kit from China?

Looks like I'm getting shot of my Dell work laptop for a MBP after so much complaining. Pretty chuffed about that. Though I suspect it'll be 15" (yay!), non-touch bar version (boo!).
One thing I love though about my Dell is the dock. 2 monitors to work on and the laptop open for Outlook. I'm always out and about and dropping the Dell onto the dock is such a convenience. Everyone around me with Macs have a desk like a shit-tip of cables and adaptors.
Is there a go-to recommended equivalent for that model of MBP? I see Henge stuff...the horizontal ones look nice, but I'm confused over the Apple display options (my monitors are boggo LG, currently 1x VGA, 1x DVI). Can mix mini-display port and HDMI? And have the laptop open for a 3rd screen?
Work will give me the laptop and proabably any adaptors I declare necessary, but probably aren't likely to pony up the cash for a dock because I find it preferable to a next of cables, so this may be coming from my pocket.

Is this 14 day free MacBook Pro hire available at any retailer or only Apple Stores?
I have a 5 day project and 50/50 on buying one for keeps. I'm interested to see how much home use it would get.
Much easier for me to get to a Currys/PC World though, but I would only want to get it if it could be returned with the understanding that it'd be properly used in the meantime.

I'd love some Rapha strides, but they only come in stumpy dwarf lengths :(
Backpack turned up. I'm impressed, I think it'll be perfect for my day to day. At first glance it seemed tiny, but actually is all I need, and there's the expanding shoe compartment when I need more space. I just wish there was some way to better get the waist strap out of the way for use off the bike. And that it was the black/white, rather than Chilli version.

I've never had a smelly bag. Always used an Oakley Toolbox and it's awesome and smell-free. I want something smaller with a laptop sleeve. Tried one commute with my work issue Belkin laptop backpack and when I got home, the foam panel that sits on my back was dripping with sweat (was completely unaware of a sweaty back when riding). It didn't smell, but I thought if I did that daily, and it's made from polyester like cheap jerseys and jackets, it'll start to smell pretty quickly. Maybe it wouldn't.

I'm going to give it another go.
Main gripes for me, other than clashing with light apps, are the dark dock and the super contrast white text. Creative Cloud's more subdued text is a lot easier on the eye.
