Gears are the new fixed. I know where this is but won't get there anytime soon.

+1 on the Rubinos, I'm on Gatorskins on both bikes but they've punctured more than my Rubino Pro's ever did. Neither of these are great for skids.

Plenty of people ride it without gears. I'm not one of them.

Specialized something in the work bike shed. Lots of upgraded looking Tiagra bits and Sugino Messenger chainring. If it's yours, clean your drivetrain!

IIRC, On-one were poking fun at other manufacturers giving things fancy Italian names that they didn't warrant. Pompinos aren't particularly special but I love mine.

From what I've heard, the prices are good. Apparently they buy certain models in bulk so they can sell them cheap. Reviews are mixed but as long as you're happy checking everything and adjusting bits yourself they're fine. Bikes is bikes.

All the roads are well used by cars so largely clear of any ice, Mousehold can be a bit spicy so one of the other roads back into the centre might be better.

Marriott's Way is pretty grubby once you get out beyond Hellesdon Hall Road though is fine on something with a bit of grip. Just too muddy for commuting now, would rather ride an extra mile on the road than have to wash my stuff every couple of days.

I'm not in touch with my seatbelt source anymore, would have to pay a scrappy. Mostly riding in biblongs at the mo anyway, nowhere to put a holster on them.

I lost my lock holster when I moved house. Was a limited edition by a local artist. Gutted.

I could be tempted to do that on a largely unsuitable bike. Depends what October brings really, will have to decide nearer the time.

I think Mark had an Arione, if so they're fantastic saddled, only thing I preferred to the Spoon. Can't believe you haven't ruined those tyres yet, they're awful for skidding, clearly not riding enough ;)
