Holt Road is really boring and definitely not quiet.
When you leave Sheringham, turn left to West Beckham > Baconsthorpe > Plumstead > Little Barningham > Itteringham > Cawston > Haveringland > Horsford. These are all good quiet roads.
Take a map. You can't really get lost, if you stray too far you hit the Holt or Fakenham road and just follow that, but it's a lot less fun.

I already did a charity ride and
none of you lot sponsored it (as far as I know).I plan to do the Cambridge to Norwich but no money goes to charity unless you get sponsorship (same for all Bike Events rides). You do however get to go on a nice bike ride.
Not doing the Gossy ride because he has the lovely Wilier that I wanted and hasn't even taken the bell or shit reflectors off it. Actually, we do stuff for NNAB anyway, they're sort of our adopted charity for work.

The only bike places in city centre are shit - Halfords and Cycles UK. I'd go see Specialised (map link) but give them a shout first, they're always busy but I'd think they'd fit a job like that in.

My road bike weighs less than my fixed anyway, the advantage is the mystical flywheel effect carrying you through the dead spots. Losing momentum is what'll kill any speed you have left when you hit the 20% climb near the top.
I'm into the Gulp though, will be interesting to see if I can get up there on fixed with my regular gearing after a few beers.

My mate has decided to have his birthday celebrations this weekend, even though it's his actual birthday the week before. Therefore I'll be missing it again, bit shit but I can't ditch him for his 30th. Waiting for confirmation but looks like I'll have a free train ticket if anyone wants to take my place.
