@TimBA - thanks - looks similar - but the rear stays in your photo look different, and potentially the rear brake bridge. Looks like rider - but I assume different builder.
I feel quite confident on the columbus stickers on mine - nothing says to me that they are applied after - and if I can say so - it feels slx light...
here is an ad for rider I was given in my search

Thanks Dutch Cheese - to be honest, UTFS many times to no avail. for some reason rider appears many times on this site :)
Thanks for the info though - will continue digging. It wasnt clear for me from your post if Rider was actually the manufacturer or if they were produced by someone else and branded Rider for Simons - do you know.
cheers

Hi - posted my question on retrobike as well, but thought there might be some more dutch and belgian experts around here.
I picked up this bike earlier in the year and want to know more about the bike as I also think about what I will do with it - ss or leave as geared swap out some parts as it is not currently in functioning order.
Now I have moved it out of storage - I have been able to take some photos and would like to know more about the bike.
The frame is made of Columbus SLX Tubing, says Rider on the side, a little white bird (almost columbusesque) painted on the settube and headtube. Rider is stamped all over it - Brake bride, bottobracket shell (top and bottom), top of the rear stays, fork crown, and even the rear dropouts. I could not find a serial number and trying to search for "racer + rider" on google obviously doesnt lead me anywhere fruitful. They guy I bought it from didnt know anything about it as it wasnt his bike - his father in laws if I remember.
Needless to say the bike has a fantastic 80s paint scheme (in someones eyes) and chrome details and is built up with a campy 7 speed groupset. I got it with two sets of tubless wheels - and the frame has a number hanger on it. Frame seems to be cromed under the paint as well - as some of the paint has been chipped away on the bb - and it looksl like crome under there...
I have just guessed it is from belgian - no idea really.
Can anyone know any information about the bike or "Rider" as a manufacturer/shop/sponsor?

Hi - Looking for the following, which would have to be posted to Stockholm by a willing seller - so ideally someone might have everything to be able to combine shipping.
I am looking to complete a couple of builds... ipso fatso - I needs parts.
10 Speed Ergo Levers - '07 or post - as my front derailler is QS (and I understand compatability "requires" qs shifters, prefer Chorus alloy, but carbon will be considered. Otherwise - if you have non-qs shifters from say ´01 or later and a clamp on front derailler that could be a solution. My rear derailler is pre QS if anyone wants to learn me something about compatability issues :).
10 speed Campagnolo cassette (looking for two) - riding mostly flats, for better or worse.
Campagnolo Seatpost - 27,2 - record, centaur, chorus from the last decade.
**10 Speed Campagnolo chain **- new or really good condition
10 speed Campy cableset - new in box preferably
In other cases Condition does not have to be perfect, but at least good condition - but no scrapes/gouges or excessive wear - lots of life left!
Send me a photo and your price idea. If I missed any details or if anyone has any suggestions - let me know!
Cheers,
Dan -

Yeah - really excited, deal not done yet, but I to pick it up tomorrow and we have agreed on price. Paint looks really good - only one known scratch - just kind of came across it...
And I didnt even notice the chain still on the frame in the photo....
Can't confirm year on the frame - but thanks for the suggestion on the M950. Have to start my search and start buying when the frame is in my hands tomorrow! I already have the flight sadel!
should have put serotta in the title - maybe people would have got excited
