Hi all, my local cycling club is Lea Valley but turns out that now the season has started they are no longer running Saturday/Sunday rides, is this the same with all clubs and are there any cycling clubs in the vicinity of Walthamstow that will be running rides of 40-50 miles at the same sort of pace?

Could I just run cone nuts without cones?

I roughly managed to measure the hub width as 100mm and the cones and locknut together make up an extra 40mm, or 20 each to make 140mm or 20mm to big for my drop outs.

As the hub takes up so much space, it more of a hub issue rather than an axle one as the axle would fit but the cones and other nuts are unable to fit on due to the lack of space. Also as you can see the adapter is already fitted however it came with a quick release rather than the standards HED axle.
