i had to use my insurance to get solicitors to challenge the case made by the motorcyclist who got legal on me from the start. my insurers were also happy to pay out for the bike in the end (minus excess) and as and when the solicitors decide on the case (if it is all in my favour) then my insurers should get reimbursed from his lot (and i should then get my no claims reinstated) but it is taking time...

**Improved offer: £800 of Cycle Surgery vouchers for £700 until end of the week (sorry don't know how to change the title of the thread).
NB. much as I've enjoyed the banter on a variety of topical issues within this thread I did not mean to spawn a monster that would hog valuable forum space so please only post if you are genuinely interested!
**(original post edited)I was involved in a crash a couple of months back that wrote off my bike (http://www.lfgss.com/thread43367.html) and I have only just received an insurance payout in the form of Cyclesurgery vouchers. In the meantime I had already got a replacement bike so the vouchers are up for grabs - its £800 worth of vouchers and I'm looking for £700 for them. So anyone looking to buy from that shop could get themselves a bit of a discount...

Just a note to say thanks to everyone for helping with this. This case is still with solicitors and moving vv slow but fortunately i had some insurance that ended up covering the bike replacement (not ideal as i lost my no claims but that's life). Anyway have made a donation to the site and thanks again (particularly Balki and extended family!)

Thanks Balki you're a legend! I have details from your sister and cousin who both heard the guy admit he caused the collision and that he would get my bike repaired - am preparing documents to argue the case as we speak and the witness details will be a big old help! fingers crossed it sorts itself out

Many thanks for advice - The incident happened around 6.30pm on Tower bridge road heading towards tower bridge from the south at the junction with Tanner Street. I am a member of LCC and I think that the best thing would be to go through them and I will also chase up CCTV from the police - good news is that i have no broken bones x-rays have confirmed!

I was involved in a collision on Tower Bridge Road on Tuesday 11th May with a Motorcycle - The motorbike was trying to make a right turn through a gap in the oncoming traffic and did not see me, he pulled in front of me just as I passed through a green light and my bike took the brunt of the impact and is a write-off. Fortunately I got away with bad sprains, cuts bruises and big shock, the motorcyclist apologised profusely and was constantly saying he was at fault. At the time, several passers by including a couple of cyclists stopped to offer themselves as witnesses - I was in shock and sitting on the road but the motorcyclist told the witnesses that the collision was his fault and we would not need witnesses. He told me at the time he would pay for my bike and that he was truly sorry for the causing the collision - but guess what! he has now made a claim against me via his insurers for a broken indicator light and has made up a pack of lies about how I was riding recklessly... so to cut a long story short: on the off-chance that anyone who witnesses the crash uses this forum, please can you contact me as I may need you to act as a witness in this case...thanks and sorry for the bother
