Had a similar one quite recently. Left a wheel with a crooked rim at the shop, along with a brand new rim and told them briefly what I wanted - to relace the wheel with any stainless spokes, but preferably use the same ones (which were black), if their length is correct. Later, I sent them a txt message explicitly stating that I want them to use the same (i.e. mine) spokes, if possible, but if not, just use some generic stainless silver spokes. But when I went to collect the wheel, it had new black spokes, the bill was ca. 30% higher than I expected and they were arguing that I wanted them to use identical spokes, so they ordered black ones, that are 30% more expensive just because of the colour.

Don't post his bike in here then
yahouJudas!:D
Just being unbiased
The frame could be pretty in itself, still a road lo-pro conversion with dropouts swapped for track ends, but rear brake cable braze-ons left intact. Besides, lo-pro with drop bars, brakeless no foot retention? Oh, and if you could just see the rear wheel in close-up...
Anyway, I hope he wouldn't take this personally, just like I wouldn't if someone I know posted my bike. In fact, I should do it myself.Here. Non-matching wheels, ugly clips, chop'n'flipped bars, shift levers still on?! Awful.

road rage from big bald men...right on our back bumper and clearly pissed... screeches to a halt with his car diagonally blocking us in against the roundabout... big red-faced bald man screams at my mate and punches the wing mirror clean off... all for having the cheek to do a perfectly legit overtake.
What the fuck?! This is just scary. Also, I've seen some weird British road rage cases on Youtube, is driving there really so bad or sth? I don't think Brits are so confrontational as a rule, are you?

but....but....It looks like fucking pengy! Something is seriously wrong with you guys.
It doesn't imho. Ok, maybe if you look at them next to each other... but still, my first thought was, hmm, interesting, weird but interesting. i.e. not anti.
And the Brooklyn? I'd just change the chainset which looks shit on this bike, reset the saddle and off would I go!

Better pics here...
http://www.robpenn.net/the_bike.phtmlthe book is quite interesting, it's better than the TV show, which I found a bit compressed.
"Not available in your area"
That's proper anti.

remote Scandinavian town and they give way to each other, occasionally have a little a chat alongside whilst waiting at the lights.
I'm always amazed at how well-mannered the drivers are in places like Sweden, Denmark, Holland, give way, stick to the speed limits, always stop at pedestrian crossings, that's just like some utopia or sth. I was driven by an Afghan taxi driver in Sweden who turned out to be a much calmer and more courteous driver than many of my friends, who otherwise are nice people. Whenever I'm there and get back to my country, it's hard to get over how many road users assume this pointless angry attitude, sometimes you can almost feel someone's breath, steam coming from their ears and shit...

http://velospace.org/files/PortGallery1.jpgCome on, that's just infinitely silly on purpose, I could have a bike like that, wink wink.
Also, I don't have a picture yet, but have been to Sweden recently and saw this amazing ultra-low end Soviet REKORD / 'PEKOPD' track frame, one of those really bad ones, wearing brand new Ksyriums. Hilarious, really.

The garmin cadence can have little blips but these can be caused by things like car wheels etc.
Wow, I've got a well-used Echowell Echo F2 cyclocomputer and its cadence meter has always worked fine, always showing very plausible numbers. E.g. when I hit 144rpm down a hill on my fixed during a recent ride, it was showing something just above 50kmh. Yes, I was proud. And yes, I bought it used for 9PLN which translates to like, the price of a pint of lager.
I was close, but not dangerously close, to losing control, so technically, not an "oh shit moment", which makes my post off-topic. :'-( -
So, did any of you actually come to Warsaw last weekend? Met some people from London.
