SUPER RARE ORANGE LOOK KG171 - CARBON WITH ALUMINIUM LUGS

this is an absolutely classic French team road bike, in a very rare orange colour - one thing's for certain, in the 2 years I've had this ride, I've never seen another one like it. this is some pretty sweet early carbon, and i swear, it's the nicest ride i've ever owned. full shimano ultegra groupset, dual mavic cosmic elite wheelset with a nearly new 9-speed shimano cassette (2 months?). i bought the wheelset second-hang about a year ago from a dude who used them twice, they could use a tiny true, but they spin BEAUTIFULLY.

size is c-t 52cm / c-c 51cm / top tube 54cm
(i'm 5"6 and it fits me like a DREAM. I imagine it could fit someone up to about 5"8?)

there are a few things:
1) it's dirty. i will give it a quick clean for you, but it could use a deep clean. i took it out this morning in the rain, so pardon how messy it looks, it scrubs up NICE.
2) it could use a new chain - but is fine.
3) the right hand shifter is a bit loose and doesn't always shift. this is an easy fix, you can do it at home OR walk into somewhere like Tokyo fixed and it'll take literally two mins.
4) ... and this one is a tiny bit of a bitch - the seat bolt broke about two years ago, and i don't know if any of you are aware, but finding a seat bolt for this bike is LITERALLY impossible as there are specific to LOOK and the era (mid-90's) - essentially a weird shape. SO i had to make a makeshift bolt as I tried to find the original everywhere but no dice. WORKS like a dream though, the only thing you gotta do to adjust seat height is use two adjustable spanners, but once you find your sweet spot this shouldn't be an issue as I've been riding mine like that for a year and a half.
5) the paint on the top tube is chipped:

... there's no two ways about it. BUT you could easily touch it up if you're into that kinda thing - I hear nail polish makes a really good toucher-upper.

so basically, with the wheelset (i ain't splitting) - I'm asking £400. I think this is pretty damn cheap for what you get - a great wheelset, a super rare carbon frame, and some pretty good components, albeit the negligible amount of work you'll need to put into making it perrrfect.

won't come with pedals, but i can throw in a pair of original LOOK clipless pedals (red) and a pair of btwin shoes with keo cleats for £20. or just the pedals for £10?

unfortunately, the bag does not have seperate wheel pockets... lame... and you do need to remove everything, yes.

Just clearing my closet and I've got the following...

MAVIC ELLIPSE 2010 FRONT WHEEL (old graphics) - £70
Haven't taken pics yet but happy to do so for anyone if they're interested. Brake surface pretty worn, this wheel did a fair bit of mileage. Could use a clean and a 'mini-true', but runs smooth as pie. Would be ideal for a commuter.

HALO TRACK REAR WHEEL (BLACK) w/ EAI 17-TOOTH COG - £40
Same as above, could use a little elbow-grease, but totally sound. Perfect for a beater or second-bike. I'll take pics if there's interest.... black fixed / free, solid, with 2-month old EAI cog (which is the BALLS).

bout 6 months old, reason for selling is i've just upgraded...
It's got a few scratches, but nothing awful. One TINY thing is that occasionally it gets stuck in 'headphone mode' if you listen to music a lot on it ... that is, when you take out the headphones, sometimes it still thinks they are in there and you need to unplug and replug in the headphones in the socket a few times to get it to go back to normal. This is reflected in the price - i.e. PRETTY DAMN CHEAP. Other than that, it's good to go!

**ROAD WHEELSET - £50
**this is a pretty decent Mavic Classic Pro 9-spd (SHIMANO) stock wheelset from off my Look KG 171. Mavic hubs and rims. Could use a true and a clean, again, but ready to ride as such. Perfect for a commuter or second bike as well. you can have a free michelin tyre on the front wheel as well, lolololol.

**CHEAP BTWIN BIKE BAG - £25
**retail for around £65, this has been used only ONCE! basically not a mark on it. perfect for a long trip, folds up into a tiny nifty bag as pictured.
