sorry realised i didn't mention any of that - it's a black 43cm fuji classic track, 650c wheels with black hubs and alex rims, kenda tyres, silver/black pedals without toeclips, black fsa crank, mostly otp but added brakes (they are long black silver mountain bike levers but was planning to change them this week), flat black bar and bright pink oury grips -

My bike has just been stolen outside work at the Architectural Association, WC1B 3ES between 2pm-6pm today. I'm absolutely devastated as have had it only for 3 days and it took me fucking ages to find due to the unusual size- they cut through my abus lock. It was the first time I rode it today. Not to be a proper girl about it but this is definitely a shedding tears situation.
If anyone sees it please let me know, it is a single speed with flip flop hub, has bright pink Oury grips, silver pro max brakes, big mountain bike brakes as bought new ones today to fit, flat black bars which look a bit wide as was planning on getting them chopped tomorrow and was going to insure it tonight. fuck fuck fuck.
It's only small with 650c wheels, and 43cm frame so pretty unusual and a pain to get hold of. It also has a sticker mark on the top of the headset.
cheers

i'm getting black riser bars fitted instead which should help the reach, so it literally will be bmx sized for some of you lot :P top bar length is 50cm (i'm not actually that short i just have stumps for legs) so hopefully it should be ok!
velo - cheers for the heads up on gear ratios
vertically challenged but vertically happy, it's all gravy

thought i'd just post my joy of finding a bike! am getting a black fuji classic track, 43cm with 650c wheels after lots of advice given on lfgss (thank you!). still waiting to get brakes/singlespeed hub/new riser bars fitted but at present it looks like this:
just a heads up for any shorties who are looking, i contacted the fuji dealer who sent a bike into turnham green's action bikes. bit of a trek (i live east) but was worth it as most shops would make you put down a 50% deposit before you even got to test out a bike in an unusual size like this. not sure if they know much about fixed/ss and they have to order in most parts, but they're pretty friendly.
so if anyone is wanting to test them out, this is the place.

Condor do Tempos and Pistas in 46cm and you get a fitting service when ordering. Cheapest build is about £830ish though. On Cycle to work scheme. Also got some older framesets on sale so you might give them a ring and see if they've got a 46cm in anything, could save a fair bit.
cheers sammy, will give that a bash, i always thought condor would be pretty expensive though as their framesets are around £600 for the cheapest ones?

You definitly want something with a slopping top tube IMHO. Something with geometry like a Giant Bowery for example.
You might get 1cm standover on a XS, which has a effective top tube length (most important measurement) of 51.2cm.
http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-US/bikes/lifestyle/2344/32159/Thanks for the heads up, but have been trying to check out a giant bowery and it's impossible - they also don't stock the XS in the UK :( see above post - you have to commit to buying the bowery/chixie before seeing or testing them first. basturds.

Agreed..had visions of riders sitting on the crown jewels!! ;-)
great vision for a thurs morning ;) yeah definitely not necessary for 2 inch clearance but a wee bit over would be good to avoid chaffage?! also with a standover of 700mm, i've been trying all the OTP 49cm and am pretty much on tiptoe for all of them. falling on the top tube would be, erm, sore.

the archie frame looks good - the main problem is being able to see framesets/complete bikes first without commiting to buying them first, i think i agree that it's probably worth it esp on cycle to work for a custom build if it's the right frame.
anyone interested in starting a bike shop for wee ones?

worst thing is, it is probably a bunch of idiotic kids who don't give a shit - aaaargh. nasty info about the thief but i can't help thinking he had it coming......i'm just hoping that the thieves are stupid (which they've proved already) and try and sell it down brick lane/on gumtree this weekend - you're right, they're going to have a hard job now that i have pretty much half of london on the look out! it's such perfect weather for cycling too - this morning, was on the top deck of the 55 looking out at all the happy cyclists :(
