i ride a fixed 650c fuji track 2010 model - it's lovely. edscoble - you helped me out a fair whack with that, thanks!
i also went to the oopening of tokyo bikes in spitalfields last week - one of their policies is using 650c wheels only, i have to say it looks weird with larger frames but they do 47cm singlespeeds which look pretty proportionate not sure of the quality of the build though?

Thanks to everyone who has replied so far. This info is just BRILLIANT ;o) I'm 5ft 2in so will need a small frame too... I feel I am going to have to get someone to build me a lovely bike (and probably spray it pink).
i have a little white fuji track 43cm with 650c wheels - was a bit of a nightmare to get hold off but found a shop who ordered one in! before that i had the same in black before it got nicked :( but i love this one, added riser bars and some baby pink ourys and it pretty much looks like a mini milk lolly now.
that's an OTP by the way if it helps at all!

i ride a fuji track 43cm 2010 with 650c wheels- they've got a couple of the 2009 models on ebay at the moment - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fuji-Track-650-wheel-43cm-junior-fixie-track-bike-/260594172657?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Bikes_GL&hash=item3cac9f82f1 - it's the actual fuji distributor selling on ebay and he's sound

Hi GA2G - thanks for the heads up, but having had bikes for a while now, i feel pretty confident that the locks i've bought should be ok. i think having the other bike stolen was sheer bad luck and don't want to take any more risks. i've also heard that the smaller the d lock the better, and the mini has a lifetime guarantee. fingers crossed though - and yeah thanks for the advice all the same :)

positive news at the moment - the bike shop i got the bike from can get me the exact same bike by saturday with 10% off given the situation, and my work can help me with cash via a loan - so i it's all not bad - and everyone has been so nice about it, so thank you so much. not sure what to do though and whether to wait till i've trawled the market for my wee bike..........

I borrowed this photo from another user (sorry/thanks) but I didn't have a photo of mine ready. Its pretty much my bike but mine is smaller 21" with white grip tape too/ white seat/ yellow back wheel and is not a fixie.
If anyone sees it please give me a shout.
Thankyou
are thieves targetting girls by the name of ruth here? hope you find it your bike - i am going to brick lane at the weekend to look for mine so that may be your best bet.

Saw this lot a while back, and by the thread responses quite well known. Not sure if that helps or not but probably the same little bastards.
cheers for the heads up and good on you for chasing them away- I think that these must be the bastards as when I spoke to security at my work after I found out my bike had disappeared, he mentioned he'd chased away some kids that morning after a warning from a neighbouring building. however, I bloody wish he had told us inside that thieves were about - god I'm seriously gutted right now :'( what scum

Never lock up with a cable lock, they're made of butter and are softer than a Morph's gay mate after a deep tissue massage.
I guess I've learnt the hard way :( such an idiot. But how about the abus gold motorbike lock that so many people have? double lock for me next time and a 'keep off u fuckers' sign

i cycled into work, then took it to the new evans store on mortimer street at about half 1, left it back outside work at 2 and finished work at 6, by which point it had disappeared and there was just the remains of my lock on the floor :'( maybe put two locks on your bike? i've heard that's the best thing, i was just too trusting. if you have the abus gold motorbike lock that lots of people have you might be alright?
are there not many fixed ladies in newcastle like? based in london normally but newcastle is home, would be nice to see some anti hybrid girl's bikes! :)
