bring it here to Poole, lock it to a pole outside a furnture shop on Ashley road where there is a shoptard vehemently opposing the council putting one sheffield stand on the (20 ft wide) pavement outside his shop because he dosent 'want to look at bikes' outside his shop (all true)
Completley off topic, but I was in Poole on Saturday at the rowing regatta in the lake...
Saw a lot of fixed wheels, and a lot of pimped up Suberu's go past....I also rank the crazy golf as a 6.5 / 10. Some good holes, but also some very lazy holes..

Your "friend" basically killed the hub.
You'd need a replacement axle, repack the bearings etc. Google fro a video how to deal with it.Ha, good use of quotation marks, but I can assure you if it was me I would admit that. It's not like it's some sort of embarrassing body problem. In fact I'd love to have his bike, A 70's Raleigh Sprint, white with red trimming, absolutely lovely. I'll forward on. A good chance to see how inside the hub works, like I've said, never got further than having to thread a skewer through a new set of wheels myself.

Hey.
Friend of mine's broken his skewer thingy on the rear wheel. I've never seen one of these before myself, having only really used more modern quick release things, or the fact nothing 'touch wood' has happened...
I've pinched a photo, it's the big thick bar on the right hand side, and his has split in two...
Should he be worried... not worried.. quick cheap replacement?
excuse my ignorance on this, never really faffed with wheels or anything. cheers

Hey chaps.
I'm looking for either a Black Peugeot frame (Have all the forks cranks etc to keep it a nice match), or a plain dark purple one (to be built from scratch).
Size, anywhere from 54 - 56 (maybe 58 if its good).
Money wise, Up to about £100, but could be tempted to £140 max if its perfect.
I'm down in Portsmouth, so I can collect from Waterloo (or there abouts on train) or posted. Don't mind which.
Cheers.

He's never going to get £800 is he?
Lovely bike mind.
Edit 1 : And an hour left on this beauty :

If your after a fry up, you can do a lot worse than "Mumm's Cafe" on Albert road.
Not a lot to see on Hayling, best bet is to get the ferry from Eastney and then just do the sea front. In fact, if the suns out, a great route would be from Old portsmouth right along to the ferry, then along the hayling sea front and back. Would recommend the pitch and putt on hayling beach, lovely little nine hole.
Edit, food for later on - there is a bar called "porters" on albert road too (the other end) they do fantastic afternoon food. Or right near them is also Fat Fox and Little Jonny Russells, they're worth a shout.

Morning chaps.
I'm after some cranks (and chain ring - 48t) suitable for a square tapered BB. Not too fussy on condition. 165mm or 170mm.
Also after a rear wheel. Think Halo Aero Track, but open to offers here if I like the look of it.
Cheers.
