I have 2, The tidy one looks like this now, currently under development to become an off road/bmx track toy

The scruffy welded up frankenbike will hopefully become something a bit nicer, you've set the standard there!

I've also got a similar vintage Hardrock that'll got the retro MTB route

Gonna rebuild my Rockhopper soon, spec is fairly similar (although nowhere near as pretty), even got the 3ttt downhill bars. I did shave/weld up mine so thinking raw steel is the only way to go

Cheers, it's definitely been a worth while mod and made a big difference(that and the 4 season tyres). It'll get 105 or similar at the end of the year in the sales as i had my reasons for picking the Sora model.

Picked up a CAAD 8 Sora just over a month ago, January sales coupled with cycle scheme means i'lll be paying roughly half retail price all in.

First week home, looks like a hire car;

And then after raiding the spare parts bin;

Very happy with the feel of the frameset, not the prettiest bike i've owned but getting there...

Having a clearout, nothing too exciting but some solid stuff.

Wheelset: Maddux RS rims on Cannondale C4 hubs, Schwalbe Lugano tyres and tubes. These came on my new CAAD 8 and other than a ride home they're as new. Fairly stupidly i thought i was gonna stick these on my beater and started to desticker them but there too nice for that and i have enough wheels anyway (IMO they look better without decals) . Ideal winter wheels, i'll post some pics up soon, i'd like £60.

Claris STI 2X8 shifters. Purchased new from condor late last year (have receipt somewhere), there's some very minor marks from my hallway but other than that they're mint, includes cables £45

Mechs;

Shimano Sora short cage 8 speed, excellent condition £12

Shimano RX 100 braze on, very good condition £SOLD

Campy Mirage 9 speed braze on, excellent condition £12

Pedals;

Egg Beaters, excellent condition £SOLD
Shimano A530, well used but good condition, smooth bearings £12

Fuji open face quill, 100mm 25.4, looks like 90 degree. Scuffed but tidy £8

Brakes;

Shimano Tiagra pair. I stripped these a while back to clean and haven't got them setup quite right yet, i think they need some tensioning as they feel a touch sticky. Otherwise in excellent condition, for someone who likes a challenge! £12

Misc pair, Weinmann and Miche, for classic frames without recess hole £7

Cannonade stage ergo saddle, taken off new bike, will post pics soon £10

Wanted, cheap road bike frame and forks for winter/lock outside bike, 53/54/medium.

Preferably something more modern with 130mm rear spacing, useable headset and 27.2 seat post. Also needs to be able to accommodate crud race guards with 25c tyres.

Patina, scuffs, scratches, small dings welcome, no cracks please.

Excellent condition with very few signs of wear, comes with spare philips eco halogen lamp.

I will mention that being Halogen the lamp gets pretty warm, not unsafe and standard for this kind of fitting but something to note.
