Looking for a nice road fork for my Argos 531 track frame, preferences as follows;
170mm steerer (currently without h/set, will check if a low stack h/set will allow for a slightly shorter length steerer)
Standard brake drop
Reynolds or columbus tubing
relatively tight clearance (25-27c)
Chrome or black
no mudguard eyelitsSteerer length and brake drop crucial, everything else flexible. Something like a chrome COPPI would be nice but i'll consider most things to get me rolling.
cheers

Thanks, yeah she's been great but needs must...
I ran crud roadracers which although took some time to get perfick worked very well once on. It has eyelits on the front forks and rear seat stays, apparently the Salmon metal mudguards work well as they bridge the caliper and are a lot more stable. There's some stuff here about very nice PDW options and a few others for a CAAD 8;

It's got a threaded B/B which i've heard is less hassle than the BB30.

Hey,
a change of circumstances means my 54cm 2015 CAAD 8 Sora is up for sale. I purchased the bike early last year and used it for my work commute. Always stored indoors, I've never locked it outside and it's been cleaned and serviced regularly. Full spec can be found here;
https://www.evanscycles.com/cannondale-caad8-sora-2015-road-bike-EV214034
The wheels and a bunch of other parts (stem, seat post, saddle and callipers) were changed after a few hundred miles as I had some bits lying in wait. I've refitted the original bits including the wheels so the wear has been minimal.
It seems that with the lower end Cannondale’s all the money is in the frame and there’s been some scrimping in the factory on some of the smaller components that didn't last too long. Because of this the following have been upgraded;
Token carbon bottom bracket
FSA Orbit CE headset
Cartridge holders with Koolstop pads
Fizik soft touch tape
Michelin Lythion 2 tyres (less than 200 miles on these)
Planet X carbon cageNOTE: The spds pedals are not included, i'll dig out and include the original flats.
I’ve also just changed the rear shifter and brake cables, fitted new tubes as the old ones had a few patches and it’s got a brand new Sram chain (no noticeable wear to the cassette). Only other mod is a 1” steerer chop.
Bad bits? The groupset has picked up a few small scrapes whilst carrying the bike in and out of my bastard entrance to both work and my home and there’s some cable rub to the headtube. The real wheel although has minimal wear has maybe 1mm wobble so could do with a tru at some point.
The bike has never been crashed, and i only ever used a light cable lock at work.
So that’s it really, it’s in great condition, the frame reviews speak for themselves and the reliable 18 speed Sora works nicely. That combined with the subtle upgrades make this a really nice daily commuter or weekend toy.
Bike is in Tulse Hill but i can bring it to my work in Farringdon is thats more convenient. £325 seems fair, let me know if I’m off, will make forum donation on sale, cheers.

Small clear out time.
Pair of Schwalbe Lugano Active tyres 700 X 23c, taken of a new CAAD 8 this year, less than 20 miles on these £12
Pair of Felt Speed tyres 700 x 25c, done around 500 miles but can still trace the centre mould ribbing. Couple nics in the rubber but nothing deep £8
Both pairs £15
Beater 26" wheels with very good condition Schwalbe City Jet slicks and tubes. Front wheel is 90's Specialized Rockhopper, Rear is Deore. Front could do with a tru but is ok, rear is pretty straight. Rear cones better than front but will get you to the pub ok, both hubs had a dollop of grease recently. Rear skewer included, i'll see if i can find a front, rough and ready, £10 the pair
Located in Tulse Hill, may be able to get stuff to Farringdon if required
Cheers.
