Not the lightest wheels in the world, but well made and pretty bombproof. Not sure how many miles they've done but my guess is not many - bought them second hand last year but have only used them for a few rides.
The spin freely, nice Campag hub freewheel noise, rims are excellent, run true and I've added new tape. Had a 9 speed cassette so assume they will take 10 as well? Come with Campag QR's.
Looking for £40, collected from SE London or possibly Shoreditch.

Bought this second hand as a winter commuter bike, I'm not using it now the weathers nicer and it seems a shame to have it sitting around (ok, I'm getting hassled to reduce the number of bikes too :-( )It's well used but works fine - the usual scuffs and marks on the frame, but nothing serious. Changes from standard are:
Avid v-brakes and Tektro long-pull levers - so better stopping than canti's and no fork judder.
Ultegra cranks (6500?), 170mm - not sure why the original owner changed them? Specialites 46 tooth chain ring, 16 tooth and 18 tooth Shimano freewheels. It's set up as a commuter with 700x28 Gatorskins, the front is new and the rear has done a couple of hundred miles. It's also got SKS guards, full on the front and chopped on the rear so that you can still remove the back wheel - additional guard on top gives full protection.
Wheels are true and the rims seem OK. The saddle is a well used Fizik Arione, and the pedals are Shimano SPD. I've retaped the bars and replaced the brake cables recently.
As above it's a 54cm, would probably suit someone 5'7'' - 5'9''
I reckon £200 is fair, don't want to post it so can be picked up from SE London or Shoreditch.

^^ agree.
Last year was a nightmare, took ages to get out of London, and really dangerous in some places especially the downhills. I saw about 4-5 people getting scraped off the roads into ambulances. I would only do it again if leaving in the first groups.
Having said that, lunch in Brighton and the ride back were good.
Will be doing capital to coast, on a tandem if we're allowed.

Spring Onion results are up here
I was just under 4:30 so 150th official position out of 529 finishers. Just shy of a 15mph average but includes punture time so I'm not disappointed.
You would have finished ahead of me if it wasn't for the puncture - just under 4.28, 135th.

Struggled a bit more than I thought I would - didn't feel on top form and had a low spot from about 40-50 miles. Didn't mind the wet weather too much (been out in it a lot recently) apart from really slowing down the descents - some of them were a bit hairy.
Got away with no punctures thank god, although had no end of Garmin problems - it seems to switch itself off once every ride at the moment, and then the avg speed displayed goes crazy, unless I did actually average 22mph (I didn't). It also had a bit of a fit at the start when it was picking up everyone's heart rate and cadence devices and decided to freeze.
From what I can tell I got round in 4.30 for 68 miles, which is a tad over 15mph so I'm fairly pleased with that considering how I felt.
The 2 big climbs were hard going but not as bad as expected - especially after rolling down Whitedown which seemed massive, for some reason didn't seem as bad as expected going back up. The run from there back to the finish was great, probably did average over 20 for that bit.
Overall a good event, the route was excellent. Only minor negs were the gpx route file they supplied which wasn't accurate enough, and the markings on the road were a bit tricky to see - took a few wrong turnings. The numbers were manageable though, so there wasn't much queuing and no hold ups. Definitely one to do again next year.
Should be able to bring them in tomorrow. Could get interesting as I'm also carrying a set of wheels, but I'll PM you with phone number and email address.
