Wrongcog, I think that was you I bumped into when we got a bit lost (blue Ribble/red jacket). Shame that so many got lost, it was hard enough coming back into that wind without the extra miles. I really struggled at the end, felt like getting off for a rest.

Not sure when the results come out, according to Strava I averaged 15.8mph which I'm happy with given the conditions, Wrongcog you must have been similar?

After doing a 50 mile ride with a couple of guys who average a few mph more than me, I had to get off and walk the 'hill' between Bromley and Grove Park. I would estimate it's probably 3% for roughly 300 yards. After that it's all downhill to my house, although I was almost in too much pain to get back on and freewheel.

There was some nice machinery on show - as well as some of the classic stuff there was a lot of the usual posh carbon, including some Colnago's and a guy with Di2 on something.
Haven't people heard of winter bikes :-)
