Indeed the top tube is not hsort, but it needs to be to accomadate the 700's and the 165 cranks without overlap.

A number of these were being raced today with no handling issues.

and to think, my "nipper" as was, started on a hand painted gas tubing frame.....this is super spec, super resaleable value too when grown out of. Someone has done their "homework".

A call to Welwyn Wheelers, Hillingdon Slipstreamers and Calshot Activity Centre could net some sales.

Yes indeed. It was the same for my daughter Jess. We had to scratch around for all the small parts and cobble up a bike to race on...I have put plenty of thought into these bikes to enable riders to transfer wheels, chainsets bars etc when they grow out of this size.BTW they go great on all the indoor tracks aswell as outdoors.

I also do very nice aluminium in a 54, with slightly higher spec.

Tyres are nice a grippy Schwalbe, no probs on Manchseter or Newport...

Tis true....i still use my Nike Altea 2s which are great but getting a bit rough now...a nice pair of drilled out Bonts will do the job..

Get some old school Dura ace SPDR with 0 float cleats.....sorted.

For the sprinters, use the same pedal and adapt the back claw to take a double strap and the upward action will actually tighten the grip on the cleat....
