Thanks for this thread! I followed it and it worked a treat.
Another tip if you have a stuck nut against the hub; just tighten the other nut against a lockring really tight anywhere else on the other side of the axle, and then use that as leverage to loosen the stuck nut. Then just use your cone spanners to loosen the other nut and lockring against each other. -

More than 6 years ago in early 2010 I had my very first fixed gear bike stolen, a Ridgeback Solo World. A very basic bike but I was really crushed and reported it to the police with the frame number etc. For months I'd scour eBay and bike racks etc. with no success.
To my huge surprise this morning I got a phone call from an unknown number, a PC Jankowski from the Met Police informing me they had done a raid in Brick Lane and recovered a bike with my frame number...! I went and picked it up today. Still has the green bar tape I put on it. God knows what adventures it's been on in the last 6 years. It's a bit like the Event Horizon suddenly reappearing, except in a good way.
