Hey Nick,

I read somewhere that you could route the cable slightly differently into the rear mech and it may perform better. I know it's a long shot and most likely it won't work (hence the post), but I fancied giving it a shot and seeing what the results were like. I can't remember where I read this though. Does this ring a bell with you?

I'm working on a project involving a final gen Campag Rally rear mech, trying to make it work with indexed shifting and I need a back-up rear mech in case it doesn't work. Ideally it would be Chorus/Record but to be honest as long as it works well then I'm not too fussed. It needs to work with an 8 speed setup.

Anyone have anything? Collection or post, either way is good.

What's the drop on the 600s? Think I need a short drop for a track fork but don't know about the rear.

Both sets are 39-49mm. For some reason I thought one set was short reach/standard reach but it's not.
