Awesome.
I would encourage anyone interested in this to go to some of the other sessions as well. The league starts soon so try to play as much polo as you can if you're serious about it. They're all very welcoming and you'll learn some good stuff, but practice, practice and a bit more practice.
Solo polo is also a good idea as it team training.any friday/weekend polo anywhere?

I locked my bike to a short bollard using a cable lock once. It was very easy to lift over the bollard but I was sitting RIGHT BESIDE it the whole time it was there. A drug addict saw it and went crazy!! he started shouting obscenities about the fking wker that locked their bike like that. He blamed the country's financial decline on people who would leave their bike in such an un-secure manner. He made quite a scene, many people stopped to listen to his rant. Not knowing it was mine he looked for my support in his hatred of me, (I was forced to agree with him). Needless to say I waited till he and everybody watching had gone until i sheepishly retrieved my bike. I never did it again.
hmn, left my bike unlocked once outside a supermarket and sat down about 5 meters from it. was it 2 minutes until 3 (GANGSTA) boys (with winterwests and fake chains) came around the corner talking loudly and then suddenly changing topic nodding each other and pointing at the bike as they went past... one of them coudlnt help himself to get out of the supermarket one last time to have a second look..
Funny they didnt notice me sittin there watching it all... waitrose in towerhill btw.

Not sure I'm using the right word, but I got a cone on the inside of the driveside crankarm (made for 2 chainrings (52&42)).
Does it have any use (running fixie with only the 42t chainring) exept it prevents me from using chainguard? I though I might just file it down.
So.... What is it and can safely I remove it?

Nice one Glenn, I missed that. Sorry worldofpain.
There will be a loaner bike built soon, there are just a few problems. But apart from that, you can borrow my bike and I'm sure others will let you have a go on theirs. Maybe not Citygents though, it's a deathtrap ;)
And there are plenty of mallets available. We do or at least did play in the rain yesterday. Most players are dedicated and will play in all conditions. But fingers crossed for better weather next week!
Well done to all those who sticked it out, was a good laugh yesterday.
I might have to eat my words. Sadly I wont be able to attend for 2-3 weeks from now, but I be with yous again as soon as possible!
Whenever I'm there thou, anyone can feel free to my ride when I'm not playing:)
