Pearl Izumi Amfib - just found this
http://forums.roadbikereview.com/general-cycling-discussion/pearl-izumi-elite-amfib-tight-sizing-vs-castelli-312724.htmlOne interesting thing about Amfibs is they seem to be the only PI tights with legs that are not overly long for me. My other PI tights bunch up around the ankles, but not the Amfibs. Another thing is that the fabric gets softer and more comfortable with more wear and wash cycles. I initially wasn't sure if I liked the Amfibs because they were kind of stiff feeling and also much warmer than regular tights. At first I only wore them on the coldest days, when temps were near or below freezing. Now I wear them much more often, though usually on days with cold mornings below 40 and afternoons below 50 F. I mostly wear them commuting because I am out early in the morning when temperatures are the coldest, and they are fantastic for that

Gorgeous and well specced, but I'd say you'd have more luck on Bike Radar or the various time trial forums where people will expect to see those kind of prices. Not saying it's overpriced, but I'd venture for most peeps on this site that's a pools win bike. By the way, I have those cranks and they are great, not bling bling but so nice. I can only dream about a Zipp/ Tubs combo

I thought GP4000s would get me through winter, always been good for past 2 years, new commute 5 punctures in 4 weeks with different tyres. I've gone to defcon 1 = Specialized Armadillo, feel rough but never had a puncture in 5 years of winter commuting. Was moaning to a colleague and he recommended Maxxis Re-Fuse, found them on Ebay £16.99 - will report back. Looking at various forum threads Schwalbe Marathon Plus appear to be highly rated

Finally started to use cycling glasses on my commute, after 5 years of burning eyes it's a revelation. I now look like a full on roadie douche (probably because Rudy Projects are the only glasses that fit and they don't do subtle) - but what the hell - they work. Also gives me an excuse for more ebay bargain trawling

I use Bike and Run in East Finchley, and another recommendation is Micycle in Stroudi Green N4
