A woman got trapped under an Addison Lee taxi on this morning's commute. Looked like she was hit from behind. Luckily lots of people stopped to lift it off her, and one of them was a doctor. I arrived as they were running to lift the car and called the ambulance.
I think the person involved suffered a broken leg and was clearly in a lot of pain, but was conscious and her upper body seemed OK. Hope she gets well soon.
Well done to everybody who stopped and helped.

I have a beater rear wheel that I bought for £20 off this thread: http://www.lfgss.com/thread60360.html
It's not listed there any more, but the photo is still in the album - it's the one with a blue anodised flip-flop hub.
Don't need it now so you can have it for what I paid. Pick up in Acton.

Second day back in the saddle after busting open my knee in a run-in with a minicab, and I end up on the deck again.
A couple of twats thought it would be fun to walk their puppy without a lead on a busy, wet-leaf-covered cycle path. It decided that it wanted to know what the underside of my wheels felt like.
Could have killed it to teach them a lesson, but it wasn't the dog's fault so I bailed on the grass. Wasn't going quickly, so just got a little graze (same knee) and my bike was fine.
What is wrong with these people? A bike goes past that spot at least every 10 seconds all day, every day. In my opinion, dogs shouldn't be kept in cities, let alone on cycle paths. Fucking ridiculous.
Anyway, be careful with all the wet leaves about.

bit expensive for what's basically a nut and bolt though

Minicab driver not indicating left + me in his blind spot = stitches in my knee
It was at the junction of East Acton Lane and Uxbridge Road - normally fine except for the potholes that I was aiming to avoid. Guy in front stopped but couldn't be arsed to check if I was OK. Passers by were ace though.

Anyone in need of a downhill tandem?

check out this bargain... going for £360 in the shops, apparently!
Just checked and I haven't got a clue; I seem to have lost the cable. Price drop to £5!
