Looks like Joby has done it again - that'll teach me for not looking at someone's profile first!
He said the wheel was mine and I could pick it up yesterday, in the meantime he sells it to someone else and doesn't tell me. He didn't return any texts or PMs and when I called him last night, pretended to be going underground and didn't have any reception - what a dick!
At least the wheel did exist this time and it did get sold, so no real harm done, I'll just have to be a little more careful next time.

I'm arranging a stag do and had booked (2 months ago!) a beginners session at Herne Hill for 9 of us. They've just told me I'm double-booked with the London Track Championships! So I'm now trying to find something (cycling based if possible) else we can all do together?
I wondered about Rollapaluza, but we cant afford them outright, but they might be setting up in a pub - and we could 'try it out' I 'spose!?
There's also Redbridge Cycling Centre, but cycling round a road circuit doesn't sound that exciting!
Could go for lunch at the Rapha Cycle Club - but I suspect the lads may wonder what the hell they're doing there!?
I could probably get them to bring their bikes (they live out in the sticks), so could do a tour, but that sounds a bit jessie for a stag do!?
The rest of the day is booked (at places in town) and paid for, so I've got to think of something we can do between 12 and 5. Any ideas would be gratefully received. Doesn't have to be cycling based but preferably something 'interesting'.
Cheers,
Simon

Only managed to visit Chari & Co. but it was well worth searching them out . . .
we even turned up on their blog, my girlfriend patiently waiting while I asked lots of stoopid questions!
They were very patient with me and I learnt a lot, but not how to keep my money in my pocket! I bought a blue lug saddle and Nitto bars . . .
Thanks again, I'll be back to ask lots more daft questions when I gather the rest of the parts I need!
Cheers,
Simon

I hope I can get away with hijacking this thread (as an impatient newbie) . . .
I've just got my first frame and it needs building from scratch. I'm off to New York soon and thought I could take advantage of the exchange rate and add some parts to my hand luggage. If you were going, what would you get for your bike?
Just got a quote for £50 on shiply - that's a goer then if Tom agrees?
