Wow! Great ride. What a lot of fun.
Hope mario and his son are ok.
Special thanks to the excellent backstops as well.
Ride in, ride out; Ecstasy indeed. Mario made it to hospital OK. To ride beyond Scarlett and Gustav going side by side was a moment to behold; they both move their bike so well. Thanks Texas for the flight home. Shoots crossing our pack on some main junction in Hackney. Pinky please no more bottles flying at 50km/h.

i think some people have mistaken my PO final reference as a reference to the tedium in prospect that is the Inter v Bayern game. i am talking about Blackpool v Cardiff.
i would be happy to see Bayern win it mind.
Yes. I realised and what a bore that CL game was and it made me miss Martin's chianti induced offer as well. :(

Whoever seems to think I organised this ride, I didn't. We is like citical Mass innit. I'm just a loudmouth.
Very erudite loudmouth. That's me, the German (we're good at organizing), to whom you explained 'Southend - hotrod centre of the UK' when I swore at some motorists just before we hit the seaside.

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Thank you Skully and everybody for organising this! Did not make it to the beach as my friend needed Nurofen for his knees, has two days of hard work on Sunday and Monday lined up and wanted to get home. Did Mashton take a dip like he said or did he come up with a good excuse? We got a brillinant groupsaver as well - £9 for four. See you at the next one.

This is a 25 km, 70 km, 140 km or 24h-Race around the Nurburgring 22.810 km (14.173 mi) 'Green Hell' Nordschleife ("Northern Loop") where Rudi Altig won the bicycle world cup in 1966.
There is a small entrance fee.
All details are available here: http://rad.radamring.de/start.html
Check out the video: Rad am Ring 2008: "on bike" Nordschleife on Vimeo
and the route: http://www.bikemap.net/route/927The 24h stage race in groups of eight would be my preference.

[QUOTE=Calleva;1359844]IF YOU ARE RIDING OUT AND YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND AND THE TRAIN LISTS ARE FULL...TOUGH SHIT!
get to station with time to sort out tickets and be ready to board train as soon as number goes up on board.
remember spare batteries and tubes etc. have good lights not your normal inner city shit. Always good to remember to listen for 'car back' shouts and to move to single file when we are riding with big numbers. don't make it difficult for cars to pass.
scarlett will be leading this one so don't be racing off in front and stretching the pack. follow his lead and if you are struggling or need to stop for any reason then let us know an d we can deal with it no problem style.19:40 kings x

I do wonder whether I have ever gone at higher speed on a bike. Makes me think so. Any cycletraining threads about high speed tyre failure?
