Mega dint, surely worth getting it repaired though
Do you really think so considering the following:
A: It's possible that it can't be repaired (no-one knows for sure)
B:Tho OP hasn't had it repaired already
C:The price
D:The competition (see fillet brazed Roberts above)
E: Pretty much all of the sound comments above.I wish you luck my friend

Fair do's - so much good comes from this place that it really pisses me off to see it abused
^+10
However, trying to put a positive spin on all this whole situation, look how quickly everyone has rallied round to flush this little fucker out AND give him plenty of opprtunities to right his wrongs before involving the cops. That's a healthy community in my book, and one that I'm proud to be a part of.
I hope for those he's shafted that there's a resolution very soon.

Did you tackle the seller about this? What kind of response did you get?
Ok, so you trusted the seller which is no bad thing, but just because you didn't ask specific questions doesn't really give them the right to sell you a knackered frame. At least, not in the spirit of things any way.
I guess it does serve to remind us all that there will always be chancers out there happy to screw good people over.Harsh, but good advice and lesson learned I guess...

that is well expensive for a frame with so many problems but good luck with the sale
+1
I can appreciate that you got ripped off with a poor frame, that sucks, but I think it's a bit much to expect to others to help you recoup even some of what you have lost. What you have here is an unusable/dangerous frame until the cracked seat tube/lug joint is fixed at the very least. Until then it's scrap.
Like a classic car, a shiny coat of paint does not guarantee that underneath it's not a death trap.
Your honesty is appreciated though, good luck.

It's worth noting that a lot of companies running vans have trackers installed in them these days for insurance purposes. If they do, the driver concerned will be nailed with sattelite precision. That's if kharma hasn't already made his vehicle spontaneously flip over and violently burst into flames... ;)
Hope you feel better soon mate.

If it wasn't for a simple cashflow issue I would have taken this beauty off your hands by now. I have a lovely set of Dura Ace 7402 that I think this frame would wear rather nicely. If it's still about when I've managed to shift some of my own stuff, I can promise you I'll be in touch.
Now, I must stop looking at this thread until I can buy. I am only torturing myself :(
PS Are you in a desperate hurry to sell? -
Two lovely colnagos in a week Mr Zieleman? You are spoiling us rotten sir. Thank you :)
