Raleigh Specicial Products Division (or just RSP, definitely no Unit on the end), grew out of what was the legendary Ilkeston SBDU once amalgamated into the main factory. Although still a quality product, RSP was a very different beast. They still used SB numbers though, right into the late 90s.

That's my old winter hack I used back in the late 80s. lovely frame to ride, I covered many thousand miles on that, quite a few time trials too. Cracking restoration, well done to all concerned. Wish I had the funds to buy her back.

I have some old (late 8os, early 90s) Shimano Deore cantis that came of an old raleigh I stripped. Using dia-compes now so surpluss to requirements. I can't vouch for their quality as I never used them and they may need new bolts (cheap enough from SJS).

You can have them in return for some good Kharma if you want to try them out, chuck 'em away if no good. Pm me your address if interested.

No way Tel, I think it's just a sign of the times. No matter how good value the bike, people just don't seem to have have the money. Look a that Bat Pro SLX you had for sale recently - total bargain but took weeks to shift. It seems unless you have something very special for next to nothing, its gonna be around for a while. Hard times fella, hard times.
