Colnago Frame 56cm with damage...
I believe this is a Chorus Super from around 1988 - but if you know better please post it up as I can't be 100% sure, see the photos for a reference I have found
Have a good look at the detailed pictures here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/51229181@N03/sets/72157626887392025/Very pretty frame that has been butchered due to a stuck seatpost. This has left the top of the seat tube very scruffy looking with subtle distortion to the tube and two small perforations on the drive side. Its been roughly painted to stop corrosion, but needs sorting which can be done in a number of ways depending on how far you want to take a restoration.
I'd personally ride this as is but would opt to use a longer than usual seat post in order to remove any additional stresses. Its a steel frame so technically this tube can be replaced if so desired.
56 c-t-c top tube and seat tube. Rear spacing is 126mm
Head tube is 140mm end to end.
I'm presuming its Italian threaded and they look OK.It has the following details:
- Logo in BB shell
- Colnago club in headtube lug
- RH chromed chainstay
- Colnago stamped on both chainstays
- Colnago stamped on both seatstays
- Campagnolo road ends with Colnago serial number on drive side
- Club logo on the brake bridge
- 'Fluted' tubing on both top tube and down tube
- Fluted inner chainstays
- Ovalised seat stays
- Braze on front mech
- Remains of Columbus decal
- Original paint.
PRICE DROP £115 or best offer including fast delivery within the UK.
Will ship worldwide at actual cost.Payment by bank transfer please, or PayPal gift.
Thanks

wow, random to stumble across an old posting of mine coming back to life...
Interested to find out more about this Road Ace - FYI I have owned 20+ of this model, one of which looked like it came with Mavic G40 rims from new, these are the clincher version of GP4's and are quite hard to find... it looked to me like someone specced them from new as an upgrade from their local bike shop.
On the Campag drop outs, I have seen this before too on Road Ace frames (which should have Gipiemme road ends) - Raleigh made lots of different frames out of 531c tubing all to the same spec and at the last moment defined the model with the correct braze ons and paint etc so from what I can gather if there were a bunch of frames with Campag drop outs ready to go, they got painted as Road Aces and sent off...
PM me if you want more idle Road Ace blurb, but yeah cool bike IMO.

Will take a punt and say that is a 'Competition' or 'C' model with Decor paint - could be anything from 1996 through to 1999? Likely to be Columbus Thron or Thron Super? Very nice too.
I had the same in Rabobank team colours with original chrome fork - think I sold it for £300 ish. Which is top money for a frame of this spec. Its a decent quality bike, but its not in the same league as Colnago Tecnos or Master frames IMO which you can pick up for not a whole lot more...

Slightly random but cool wheels, these are tubs/tubular rims NOT clincher (tyres / tubes). Mis matched wheels with a spare rim.
Pair of Matching Mavic SSC Paris-Roubaix (grey) 32h rims
Mismatched Pair of Campag hubs (front being Record) 32h
Mavic GP4 (yellow/purple sticker model) 32h
Some spare spokes
A tub.Rear wheel - 32h Mavic GP4 (later model, stainless eyelets, purple yellow sticker, rounded sidewall not the even later squared off one) laced to a Campagnolo hub (shield logo), screw on Regina block which I think is 13t-21t and seems to be just fine working with the Shimano 7spd SIS system.
Rim is in good shape but missing its sticker, freewheel works just fine but now its off the bike I can see there is a bit of play there. Straight and useful though. Comes with fitted Swalbe Stelvio tub.
Front wheel - rare Mavic SSC Paris-Roubaix rim, Campagnolo Record hub, 32h. in good shape but no tub.
Rim - Cleaned up Mavic SSC Paris Roubaix rim, well used but still smart and sought after.
Looking for £85 posted UK.

Modolo Speedy Bar and Stem combo in very good condition, great shape, interesting design.
Bars are marked as '40's and the stem I have measured and make it 100mm c-t-c but can't find an official mark for the length.
Looking for £30 posted (UK) or best offer, pics here thanks!

Shimano Santé groupset parts:
- Rear mech (7speed)
- Front mech (braze on)
- Chainset (original Biopace outer ring, Miche supertype inner 52/39, 170mm taper fit)
- Brake levers with original hoods
- Front and rear brake calipers
- Down tube shifters.
Good/average condition, looks worse in pics than in the flesh works a treat - high spec and interesting 7speed parts from the late 80's. Standard chip in the crank arm paint, scratches on the rear mech but still very cool and quite rare.
