EXTREMELY IMPORTANT
The manager of the sports centre has made a complaint to me that alcohol, despite my request that none should be brought on site (and this includes consumed on the street or car park or suspect being even slightly intoxicated) is still being consumed and brought on site. We run the risk of the event being cancelled for Sunday and any further events we wish to have at this venue.
PLEASE NO ALCOHOL ON SITE OR TO BE CONSUMED DURING THE DAY WHATSOEVER.
Thanks.

I visited the place today, it's £10 per night for a 2 man tent. Has showers, toilets, BBQ area, washing machine and basic cooking facilities if you want them. Bring a lock to lock bikes together . Mention bike polo so he knows the source and price quoted. Should be space for everyone.

For those hoping to camp i've found a campsite in central St Werburghs less than a mile from the court, it's a bit expensive at £10 per head per night but will be great for those who haven't found anywhere to stay yet. Apologies for not having found this sooner but the place is not advertised at all.
I'm going down there tomorrow to meet with the guy and take some photos, there is also cabin accomodation. Not sure of prices at this stage but will update tomorrow. He reckons at least room for 10 small tents.

Save the date people, Bristol are hosting a 32 team tournament on this weekend. Not much info at the moment but over the next 2 weeks we will be adding more info like accomodation and price.
Format will be usual Swiss rounds and then elimination Sunday.
Venue is St Pauls Sports Academy with 2 excellent large courts, smooth surface, shoulder high boards all round. The centre has shower factilities.
It's just occured to me this could be the UK Champs, would like to see discussion on this.

Apologies we haven't met about this yet, mainly because we haven't played due to bad weather. I'll push for something this week at least for UK Champs.
I guess we need to know what month we will be expected to do this, something for the UK scene to decide on.
To comment further on court surface and compared to Hackney Downs and Brighton (University), I would say not as perfect as those painted courts, a tad better than Birmingham and much better than Newington.
Ideally what month are we looking at here? May?
Hey all. I'll be working in London for a few weeks starting next week. I'll be up hammerball as much as possible. Mid week only.
